You literally have no personal connection, so stop acting like you know what He's relationship with God is like. Frankly, beyond this, there have been significant changes in his behavior, but I would never (and you shouldn't) use it justify any opinion about the personal and spiritual standing of someone you don't know. The critiques Rap Critic has for the Kanye songs are actually silly. He entirely misses many of the nuances and points that Ye is actually making, and then nitpicks about ridiculously insignificant observations that hold absolutely no water. Clearly, he has a bias, and despite his claims that he "tries to enjoy these songs" in part 1, he obviously is allowing his distaste for Kanye and his political opinions and past behaviors to cloud his judgement of Ye's art.

@heymistercarter.2 жыл бұрын
@@Sadvillainy I could see arguments for both. Here's how I look at it though: with Tom MacDonald, I see it that there's one of two things going on here. 1. He's saying this stuff because he knows he'll get an audience of people who are against these views and will hate-watch/listen to it, and people who DO agree with these views and support him because of it. 2. He doesn't actually believe any of this and is doing it as more of a caricature of racist and right-wing people who believe in these stereotypes. To me, there's the possibility he's doing something like Andrew Dice Clay. For those who don't remember, Dice presented this character in his stand-up routines of a muscular, smoking, leather-wearing New York Italian stereotype who presented himself as somewhat racist, misogynist, and homophobic. And he'd say those things knowing he'd get some kind of controversy behind him, like when he got banned from MTV and had a bad SNL hosting gig. But that was just his character, and the actual guy behind it was actually the complete opposite. I've heard stories about how he's actually really nice in real life, for instance. So it's possible that MacDonald is doing something like that. He maybe isn't, but who knows. As for Drake, you get the sense that he means the lesbian line completely sincerely. It's off an album called "Certified Lover-Boy", and it's supposed to indicate how cool and attractive Drake supposedly is. And you can argue that an awful line played straight is worse than someone playing a character or making the stuff in his songs up for hate-clicks.

5:10 The eye of the needle is one of my favorite New Testament quotes because Jesus is leaving absolutely no room for ambiguity when he says it. You're misremembering "rope." Jesus says it's easier for a CAMEL to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom. Rich people fail the test, full stop. If you want to be good, give your riches to people who are in need.
@camzoman2 жыл бұрын
I've heard that rope is probably a better translation than camel according to some scholars.
@purophet2 жыл бұрын
I was actually unfamiliar with this linguistic quirk of the line, so that's educational for me! Of course, even if it was originally "rope" (and from what I can tell it's not a settled argument), it's specifically a heavy boat rigging rope, so the hyperbole is intact. Jesus takes a strong and emphasized position here.
@tafua_a2 жыл бұрын
@@camzoman I was so happy when he said "rope" instead of "camel". I knew about that translation, the issue is that the Bible we read is the translation of a translation of a translation. It was written in Aramaic, then translated in Greek, the translation was then translated in Latin (the Greek translation having a typo which meant "camel" instead of "boat rigging rope") and the Latin translation being translated in most of the languages that are spoken nowadays

Every single male to woman trans athlete has an advantage, the structural growth of his body during puberty. No hormone can take that away in a sense that the playing field would be leveled. Unless we have women who were nutered before their teenage years, and by Allah i hope that no parent gets their child mutilated, then we have to admit that those who used to be men are stronger. Its something that the scientific research shows to be correct. And that bone density (heard wrong, but point still stands) you mentioned takes a really long time (or even the rest of his life) to get to same level with women. And as someone who fought a decade and got wounded six times in Libya and Syria, its kinda pissing me off how you yankees go on and on about your vets...That man who youre shooting will be just as damaged after years of war as you are.
