Being the daughter of Pritpal Singh, I always felt dad left a part of himself in Pakistan during The Partition. Always being their for the family he still makes our wishes come true. The confidence, zeal and enthusiasm his eyes shows is unparallel. With all adversities faced by him, he is a true motivator for everyone. His story tells a tale, which witnessed by few, leaves a deep mark on everybody. Hope this story motivates others and remind us that as humans our actions and reactions are large and they are felt even by our future generations. Also special Thanks to Keshu ji for sparing his time and telling dad's story.

After what happened in 1947 I can see comments where people are still blaming each other. You haven't even lived during that time , you have no proves who started the criminal acts but you are still sitting here with no shame and having arguments. It was DESI blood which was spoiled in the streets, it was APNA khoon which was flowing like river floods , it was OUR flesh and blood which was tortured. My heart feels deep sorrow and pain for everyone who went through this historic tragedy. Noone saw, that the colour of the blood had no faith, it was humanity which was murdered. But my faith restores when I hear Sikhs protecting Muslims or Hindus and Muslims protecting Sikhs or Hindus and vice versa. The devil was unleashed of every faith and everyone played along with THEIR devils I salute you for sharing these historical memories, we have to learn from them. He said 100 or more bodies of women and childeren were pulled from the well among those one women with child tangled with her leg, the man standing beside him said that it his wife and son. I am a Muslim living in Newyork feel the same pain and sorrow as you. I am also surprised that Mahatma Ghandi kept Maran Bharat to stop the killing in Calcutta, where he was when Genocide took place in Punjab.Mr Pritpal Singh said he has never cried after that incident,he is correct because according to medical science that anybody who is given too much antibiotic he become addicted and that medicine does not work. Because he has suffered so much he does not feel pain, it is the end of Humanity. At the last I will Quote the famous saying of Dr Martin Luther King I don't remember the names of those who supported me but I do remember the names of those person who kept Silent. A very tragic story. That time was very bad. Millions of people lost their lives in both sides. My grandfathers Mother and his 2 brothers and 7 cousins and their families killed in Pathankot city and around. People use to live with peace and happiness But some bad and wicked people start killing innocent people.

Keshu ji, I appreciate and admire uer service in preserving the history before it is totally lost. Sir ji, there is something that is important for me to know personally and u could help me here. Sir I want to know the faith of all those hindu families who lived in that village, because I tried on my own and found out that they didn't suffer the same faith as the sikhs even though there suffering is no less as they had to leave everything behind and start fresh not easy, but why was the violence in March of 1947 only directed towards Sikhs.

Hindus too suffered.. Sikhs have defended hindus many times and were considered warrior class.. So they were First target..

Very tragic. My heartfelt condolences on your loss. The partition ruined so many families. My parents also moved from Lyallpur area to India during partition. My father witnessed the killings on both sides of the border; absolute madness. I am wondering who your Bhua ji is in Nurmahal; I was born in Nurmahal.

First of all my salute to Sir Pritpal Singhji and I really feel proud to know that such brave and courageous Sikh, Hindu brothers and Sisters existed and who suffered the brunt of partition just because a group of power hungry politicians wanted to remain in power. Jinnah and Nehru the architect of two nation theory together are responsible for countless deaths of innocents people on both sides of the borders and let the new generation learn a lessons from such vlogs which will never be taught in modern school history.

Shameful part of history for Muslims. The worst part on this occasion was that no Muslim leader including Mr Jinnah condemned the killings of Sikh civilians in Rawalpindi in March 1947. The present Pakistani leaders should acknowledge this incident as that will really help in rebuilding trust between the two communities.

My father was 10, he always said he was forced to leave and never wants to go back as he can’t trust the people there who overnight turned against them. Finally he went and visited his childhood village and was showered by love of the current generation, he visited his old school and was overwhelmed with emotions and now wants to go back again. I hope he can go again next year. Both sides of the border are same except for religion our thinking is similar, language is same, food is similar as my Dad was invited to someone’s house for Maki de Roti & Saag, which tasted delicious he said. Our politicians still try to divide & rule.
