THIS was the song that got me into music in general, WAAAAAY back in 99 when I was 14. Before that, I'd just be listening to whatever my parents were listening to, without any real passion for it. This song changed all that. I'd never heard ANYTHING like it, and it blew my damn mind!!!

That disco beat with those down tuned 7 strings sounded so fresh
@DeusExMachina00000003 жыл бұрын
Legend says this is a disco beat time signature, secondly that this song was almost not part of the album, and lastly two cars were actually destroyed because the first shot didn't work so it had to be redone.

This was the first Korn track I ever heard! I had listened to this song a few times yeeeeeeaarrs before I started listening to metal, but had no idea it was Korn. Then when I threw this track on in 2011 expecting "a new song" the intro played and my mind was blown 💯

You quickly identified the core element of the old “korn” sound with drums. David Silveria had insane talent for keeping tempo, generating completely new sounds, and keeping it “live” by slightly going off beat here and there. He was a dickhead but he was ridiculously talented at creating his own tempo and sound and keeping the classic “korn” sound fresh and unfiltered.

Fieldy's bass sound sickening infected on my brain cells gosh I wish I'll learned to play bass 🎸. Oh well this is only song they'd have grooving, rock'n, hip hop dance everything on this song was hyped also this was my favorite version of Korn looks a pimp young gangstas. And men I'm not 90s kids but I really like those clothes such kinda more sense 😂 lol. Buggy pants, Dickies cargo shorts, and XL jerseys. In next reaction what if you wear some oversized jersey?

This was the video that halted ppls opinions on what a metal group looked like. 90s even sdre wore baggy olive cargos n long chino pants but this was not only as close to hip hop fashion metal had gotten but the song n rhythm is overcome with hip hop essence. Def an example track to change a hip hop heads mind on the genre.
