The ending part of that is an absolutely chilling (pun intended) reading of Alfred Tennyson's In Memoriam which fit so well into it all that I went back to listen to just that part multiple times.

The opening chorus is actually from "shelter from the storm", stupes very first song on Frostpunk, as well as the line "each shiver will deliver us deliverance in time" I really like it when artists do these kinds of callbacks :)

Stupendium's first song on Frostpunk was technically his cooperative thing with Dan; The Faith vs Order one.

@@OzixiThrill oh really? I thought shelter from the storm came first Wait, yeah, it did. "Shelter from the storm" came out in 2018, "A purpose for New London" in 2019

Ah yep, that's me :) I used what I lovingly call my choirboy voice- mirroring the tone from the OG "Walking In The Air" ❤ (it's wild that the KZbin algorithm put this video on my dashboard lol)

@@tschillintsoulntai9285 I mostly just submitted vocals 😁 along with the main high choral lyrics, I also submitted some "ah" vocalizations that made it into the 2nd chorus, which can be heard at around 8:02 in this video. There's 2 different melodic lines harmonizing with each other: the higher one is subtly panned to the left ear, and the lower one to the right if you're wearing headphones or earbuds! I also submitted some other "ah"s at the very beginning, but they're not nearly as prominent- in fact it sounds like some _additional_ vocals that weren't mine are also hiding in the instrumental at the beginning. The instrumental I was given to record with wasn't as bombastic as the final product, so hearing the completed song on its release date was a real treat ^.^ As for other behind the scenes things, that's entirely up to The Stupendium to talk about; I played a relatively small role in the grand scheme of things, so anything extra that I haven't mentioned would have more to do with the other folks who worked with Stupes 😁

The sad part... remember the lyrics "Is childhood so sacred or just resources wasted?" The description does let us know this is the same guy from their original frostpunk song in this one after the city has failed. Meaning that those toys they're burning were probably once the toys of these characters' kids. This was likely once their home. And now all that remains is a freezing home full of frosted memories in a city that's more than likely a snow covered grave. Including the very kids those toys once belonged too. That's pretty rough to think they may have outlived the rest and now have returned to breath their last, yet seeming very likely.

Not the same guy. It’s the steward, who was more or less in charge after the captain, the guy from the first game and song, died.

@iambord5920 I am pretty sure the song has them as the same guy. In game, it's different people 100%. But it's been a month, so I may be misremembering the songs description.

Each of the other voices represents a faction in the city. Shwabadi- Technocrats Connor- Ice bloods Idk the girls name- The church I forgot who the other guys were- The workers and the lords (I think)
