@@alexforest1 I always said to myself after seeing so many famous people pass away, that when Aretha Franklin die one day it's going to be a huge deal.. like oh my God!!!!! She was always one of my favorite female singers and I especially love her Arista label recordings, that's my favorite era of music 🎵🎵🎶... my sister loves her earlier recordings. I went to view her after her passing at The New Bethel Baptist Church just before the funeral and yes I just stood there and looked at her and I did feel sad too. yes but she left us with so many memories and recordings to enjoy!! exactly! it’s such a shame we didn’t have a chance to witness a more natural path of her vocal development. we all know aretha’s life wasn’t that easy which is the reason for chain smoking, and that’s her body after all. but I cannot help but feeling a bit sad every time I think what a once-in-lifetime diamond we all lost with that unique voice. still grateful for what we have 🙏🏼
