Awesome video! That coin from Palestine is very neat. I had to look it up, crazy that it sells for about $50 in that condition. What are the odds of finding one of their key dates in our Country? Maybe a collector dropped it. LOL. I found a coin from Cyprus once. When I first moved to the area I found a huge silver Mexican peso. Bigger than a half dollar and 72% silver like the Palestine coin. It's funny that I get big foreign silver but still can't hit a US dollar. In Chattanooga I found a silver British half crown, they don't even find tons of those in the UK. LOL. Hope you made some finds today, I got out and found a few things, but nothing spectacular.

Ya when I dug it I thought Dad got a silver quarter but we were surprised to see that when we cleaned it lol It's hard enough to find a U.S. key date but then again pops has got an 1895 O barber dime that lucky old fart! I found a big foreign silver coin too before but can't remember where it was from. Had some pretty neat finds today and will put the video up later on. I have so many vids I'm behind on uploading cause Dad and I went so much when he was down =)

Canny hunt would call it a draw. maybe dad just nicks it with the foreign coin.Lovely silvers. My son and myself always have a bit of a competition . He usually wins with his CTX but I have won the last 3 hunts but finds have been a bit thin on the ground.All the best Dave

Very nice hunt. So while you had us thinking SLQ, and one as a rare date (1916/17 no stars) it's a foreign coin. OKay then cool. It's Silver right?

Nice video and cool finds. I was having that same problem with my ProPointer and sent it back to Garrett, they fixed it for free under warranty. Not sure how long you've had yours but if you call them with the serial # they can let you know...If you haven't done so already. HH.

Hillbilly fromWV ya I have 2 that are bad probably both out of warranty. Dad also has one that is bad. Not sure what the problem is but we're seeing a pattern that isn't good. Electronics should all go bad like that on 3 different units in a few years... Going to call Garrett and discuss it see if they have the flaw resolved before I buy another one.

Just got my new CTX. When I turn it on there is a constant loud buzzing sound. I can't hear a buzzing on your machine, have you experienced this before?

walker2508 Yes that's called threshold and it's supposed to do it. Have you had a chance to read the manual yet? Try turning the threshold setting down and see if the buzzing volume goes down.
