FINALLY!!! RELIVING THE WAR HAS COME BACK... TO KZbin! I know I'm ready for more Chinlocks, more Disco and Saturday Wright Fever, more Steve Mufuggin' Blackman, and a whole bunch of Horseman Business from the Jam-Up Guy, Wrestling Bios! EDIT: Looks like we have a new segment with 2 Cold Scorpio now.... I can vibe with that!

You’re right during this time Goldberg was insanely over. I remember between the music and just his size and aggression had my dad who isn’t a wrestling fan at all but would take me to matches on his feet amazed. That’s a true pop to me it’s one thing to get over with wrestling fans but when you can crossover with casuals or not wrestling fans at all that says a lot.

I'm surprised you didn't bring up the controversy that happened during this _Raw._ Apparently, when Severn, Shamrock, and Blackman were all in the ring together, every woman in the first eight rows surrounding the ring instantly and spontaneously got pregnant. There were also some reports of women in the ninth rows becoming pregnant as well, but those were never confirmed.

That 2 week break felt like an eternity. I knew that this episode would be about the week that WWF beat WCW in the ratings after 83 weeks. I would have loved to been a fly in the room when Eric Bischoff saw that Raw beat Nitro that week. Yes, most of Raw was not good and WCW put on a better show, but on April 13th, 1998, I was very interested in the potential Steve Austin vs Vince McMahon match that ended being a bait and switch, but it was the right move to save that match for later.

I think this was also the edition of RAW that Jim Cornette wound up yelling at Vince Russo backstage in front of the wrestlers. Cornette says he had tried to address with Vince Russo how many DQs they had on the show, only for Vince to loudly blow him off in front of several wrestlers with "DQ, Schmee-Q! Nobody cares about that." Which Cornette yelled about how Russo would care about it when he winds up back in a video store. Jim Ross had to investigate it, as Russo complained to Vince McMahon about Cornette yelling at him in front of the talent.

If Bret Hart had did what he was told and dropped the belt to Shawn Michaels at Survivor Series and left the WWE on good terms also if Eric Bischoff didn't fire Sean Waltman there would be no DX restart and The NWO Wolfpack would be Hall, Nash and Six vs ÑWO Hollywood .there would have never been the Mr McMahon character and no Austin-McMahon feud and nitro would still be dominant

The thing I liked was everything wasn't just focused on Austin, everyone else had a storyline too (dx vs nation, Taker vs kane/mankind, shamrock vs owen etc) WCW was just focused on the nWo too much and also it was always one sided, WCW rarely won, the first year was fine but damn 98, 99 was dominated by them..the only time I can remember WCW making noise was Sting and Goldberg beating hogan for the title, even then both of those was overshadowed by the nWo (The shady finish to the starrcade match which ruined sting win and when golldberg won the title, the main story became hogan vs Nash, the nWo split into 2 factions)

Fun fact: Scorpio originally had the same Gimmick as Bianca Belair with how she swings her ponytail. Scorpio has an appendage in similar length however USA threatened to cancel the deal with WWE if air. Rumor has it that vince loved this gimmick and was gonna call him Scorpio the Python

25:45 I'm convinced that Mr. Blackman, with his Omega level reflexes, saw decades into the future that you would be going on a two week break and adjusted his appearances on this episode accordingly to make up for it. We must not be denied our weekly mu'fuggin. Steve will not abide it.

Throw out a variation on a gimmick match that WWE has rarely ever touched, with no hype, end it after a minute in a no contest, and then never revisit it again. Classic Russo booking. Can't wait for you to get to the Steve Blackman vs Droz Kendo Stick match from Raw in 99 with the first man to fall over loses rule.
