Just realized the incredible title situation WWF had at this time. Austin was world champion. Rock was Intercontinental champion. TRI was European champion. New Age Outlaws were tag team champions. TAKA was Light-Heavyweight champion. This was truly like looking at an all star cast of champions. Kinda insane.

I was in Evanville for that show - I've been waiting for you to get to this one. For those in attendance, we will remember Sting DID in fact join the wolfpac. He put the shirt on and the crowd went crazy but due to the fact WCW didn't time everything right - the show went off to early. When I watched the next Nitro - it broke the illusion a bit as they acted like it never happened.

There was ZERO logic and reason to bring back Giant to black and white nWo, zero logic to turn Scott Hall against Kevin Nash, zero logic Lex Luger joining Wolfpack and zero logic trying to do same with Sting. In last few months WCW showing that they are losing all strings in logic and creative storylines.

One of my favorite things about this series is how it recontextualized my memories of the era. Take Raven, I distinctly remember some skits where Raven gives Kanyon a tour of his upper class home and thinking it ruined his character. But as this series has demonstrated, that part of Raven's character was always there. Raven was always a stuck up child of privilege, he was always Johnny Polo/Scotty Flamingo, he was always a poser. That part of his character was explicitedly always there, even going back to ECW.
