Last year I was super excited because my two favorite bands, Ghost and Mastodon, were touring together! But some band named Spiritbox was the opening act. I wanted to get upfront to see Mastodon & Ghost so I got there early figuring I'll just deal with this opening act I've never heard of. During the Spiritbox set it was like I was having a religious experience... and I'm a lifelong atheist! I started to cry... and I'm a big tough guy who kicks cans and punches the air for fun! I couldn't believe how good they were. How had I never heard of this band??? As Mastodon came out, I was too busy buying Spiritbox's music. I was so distracted after that opening set, I only somewhat remember even noticing Mastodon. When Ghost ended (great show), I stormed out because I NEEDED to hear Spiritbox in my car. As we pushed through the mass of people to get out of the arena, I played Spiritbox on my phone like a jerk, probably annoying everyone around me. Since that night, I'm hooked beyond hooked. It's sad. My wife thinks I'm obsessed with Courtney. Because I am. BUT HER TALENT! Come on, honey! It's not like that!

Saw them for the 3rd time today. Saw them in 2022, then in April 2023 for their headline tour (got vip), and then just now with Papa Roach and Shinedown. They're a top 5 band for me easily. They write music the exact way that I would write it. Could never get tired of them

Courtney's harsh vocals have such a unique quality. It's hard to describe but no one can match it. She is the queen of scream.

Not really. Courtney sounds like most any screaming female. There is never any question as to if the sound is coming from her or not, unlike Tatiana, where often times people think it's not her doing the screams. For Spiritbox, the music is great, the singing is above average, but the screams kill it for me.

Saw Spiritbox a few days ago. Courtney and the guys were awesome!! Courtney's vocals were 100% on point. You could have created a live recording it was so good. Really hoping Jacoby or Brent would have come out a little early for collab/mashup, but....maybe another time. \m/

This song is incredible, everything is perfect. The intro lulls you in then that riff just gives you that stank face. Then Courtney comes in soothes you in and boom the growl is upon us. It's been on repeat for a while and the ending is amazing as well as I like how she layers the soft vocals.

If you want NO screams from Courtney at all, check out The Void, Sew Me Up, We Live in a Strange World, and Secret Garden. All great Spiritbox songs. (there are other clean songs too, those are just my favorite right now)

Loved the reaction alot. Spiritbox is one of my favorite bands of all time and Courtney is a Goddess. They have a new song called Cellar Door and it's extremely heavy, and the breakdown is earth shattering.

What’s great about Spiritbox is they don’t tend to stick to one script - they have some songs that are all clean singing, some that are all screams, some that are half/half like this…you never know what you’re going to get.

In This Moment use to be so cool to me when I saw them perform live for the first time at Ozzfest 2006. Man they came out with a lot of bangers but they became more wack to the point where it wasn’t heavy metal for me anymore. Until I discovered Spirit Box, a Canadian band formed in 2017. Holy shit! Courtney LaPlante you can fucking scream! Love it! Keep going heavy and hard. Don’t become a soft heavy metal band like In This Moment. 🔥
