This speedrun was done in single segment, without cheat codes (except for "NoMovies" at very beginning which switches cutscenes off and saves ~27.5 min), only glitches.
Following SDA definition of 100% I am only required to finish the game with 100.0% in-game counter (shown at the end of video), which means collecting all 1000 lums is enough.

this game still looks great. such nostalgia. This seemed like a super long game when I played it when i was a kid. Feels like it took me forever to finish it. Even the jump at 2:33 was something I struggled with xD I remember asking my mom to try jumping over for me and she also couldnt do it hahaha. I mustve died so many times during my playthrough, didnt even understand english yet : p

If you played the game again, you would do it in 8 hours. Then in 5h. And so on :D Some places had to be practiced indepenently though, for long hours (like Prison Ship)

Man, you’re my hero. Are you sure that Your way to make 100 % Sanctuary of stone and fire is The fastest one? That level is The most problemstic to figure out IMO xd

Thanks, dude! Up to now I haven't found any other faster way to complete this level in 100% and I have tested/timed many possible ways (you might wonder, if the loadwarp I used to skip the shell section was worth it - I checked it and it was actually faster). But of course - if someone finds more glitches, we make the level even faster!

Excellent run and interesting discoveries. I didn't know any of the glitches yet so it was fun to see all of these. So unfortunate for the not planned (I guess) death on the Iron Mountains, where the chicken-like character has to stomp the stones :C nonetheless, still congratulations for the awesome result! I'm not sure I have fully understood what happened on the sanctuary of fire (also funny that you only need to place the blue orb to trigger the guardian) but, I've seen there's a 56 video playlist you linked about speedruns and glitches, so I guess there's an explanation in there, I'll check it out a next time

Hello, thanks! Well, Stone & Fire is a level completely filled with glitches - but anyways the only goal is to complete this level at least once (so that I can continue the game) and make sure that I collect all 50 lums (at one or more visits).

While there's a fair amount of glitches, and of course the empty save load is a necessity, I'm impressed with how much 100% boils down to just knowing how Rayman moves and how best to exploit that.

I would say Prison Ship is the best example of how much it brings to get well used to Rayman's movement, if that's what you mean. :D

@@DarnokPL Diagonal slope jumps aside, there's also just little things like knowing when strafing is quicker, manipulating the camera to account for non-analog movement, it's all fascinating in the granular and overall strategic sense.

Hello, I don't see what "grappling hook" would you see in this game. But in fact you can get all items in first go (only at Fairy Glade you need a revisit for 2 lums and 1 cages).

Wow, man, I am so fuckin impressed. I have just downloaded a game, after like 19 years or 20 (wow time goes so fast), and I was really struggling with further levels, but making it 100%, in 2 hours is just insane. How many times did you actually finished that game?

Hmm, that's a good question - I have never counted but I think it is at least 100 times. However, most of time I play just individual levels or practice/investigation of single tricks. ;) For 100% run it was especially Prison Ship, which was played hundreds times. :D

How Do You Skip All The Cutscenes?

I type "NoMovies" on first control (before the timer starts) - this might be thought as of a cheat, but it doesn't really simplify the game and shortens the run by 27 min!

Once it has happened to me that Rayman got splashed in exactly the same frame when the cutscene started - and then he was moving (rather sliding) splashed to the end. :D

Following SDA rules i am only obligated to get 100% at the counter (at the end of the video i show the counter of the game) - that's because game looks only at lums, not at cages - cages are not required.
