I find Mr Skops the easiest boss to beat actually. The projectiles don't gravitate towards Rayman. they gravitate towards his fist. All you need to do is punch in Mr skops direction. this will cause the projectile to follow the punch and hit Mr skops.

Oh, I'm so sorry for him. Mr Skops projectiles actually follows rayman HANDS, not rayman. This boss is easy, you just have to punch him right after he fires his projectile and it will hit him. In fact, this is really hard to discover

Can you believe, this game was my first game ever? I beat it legit without internet back in like 1999 or whatever, maybe more like 2000 but no cheats, all legit with continues and lives found, all cages and everything! I thought this was normal for games, meant to be that hard. I do remember begging to my computer to let me make certain jumps like it was my god. Now I know, nah...this game was just simply a bitch. Still an experience I don't regret having, this game is fantastic!

I also grew up playing this. We beat Mr Scops but and then found out we had to break all the cages, i think we spent like a year figuring out where they all were etc. Some of them are ridiculously well hidden lmao. Rayman will forever be remembered as one of the hardest, most unforgiving games ever imo!

This three-part series was phenomenal! Rayman is by far one of the most intriguing (and the most difficult) video game I have ever played. Your eccentricity, hilarity, and production value of astounding magnitude all made this a blast to watch though. And the soundtrack is my favorite in video game history! I'm a little sad my walkthrough didn't come in handy for you, I get all of the cages on the first go aside from a few necessary exceptions (e.g. you need a power from a future level to get a cage in a past level, etc.); I even popped up on that screenshot in your video and everything :( lol. It's very entertaining seeing someone struggle so much with this game. I've been playing it for 17 years and by now I'm so familiar with it that I can play through it in a few hours. But I won't deny that it must be ridiculously hard for someone who's playing it for the first time. It took me YEARS to finish this game for the first time. My parents bought it for me back in 2000 and I only managed to finish it by 2007! It doesn't help that back then I wasn't really familiar with walkthroughs, so that's why it took so long.

14:30 It is IMPOSSIBLE to get all cages on the first playthrough. Some cages require powers you have not unlocked when you first encounter these cages. Actually, there are quite a few of them. You are unable to get every cage first try until you unlock sprint.

In more than a decade of playing rayman I've only once gotten to mr dark and only once beaten it. The music from some levels gives me chills to this day and I got so consistant at dying at specific parts of the songs that I sometimes expect to hear the death sound. Nothing is better than beating the final boss though because by the time you get there you've already sunk so much time(usually into the thousands of hours in my experience) and you just can't go back and that triumphant music begins to play and it's honestly the most satisfying thing when the credits finally appear and that music calms you but it's such a shame when it's all over, you've spent so much time into it and you don't really know what to do so you sit there as the menu music plays and you wonder what's next which throws you into an existential crisis leading you to question your very existance... 10/10 might try speedrunning(not really though because the people that speedrun this game are truly god teir players and holy shit they complete it fast(quickest time is less than 1 hour and 20 minutes)).

Mh, I for one love everything about Mr Dark. I love that the last place is an insane clownfest, it's somehow more terrifying than a dead dark wilderness due to the absurdity. I filled in a lot of blanks as a kid, my headcanon as was always that the world was more normal before Mr Dark turned it into this insane mash of fantasy, the music the art the cake. There is something so horrible about a world being twisted into forced laughter, corrupted by chaos, disfigured into pure uncertainty. Abstraction itself is manifested into physical reality, and physical reality is turned conceptual nightmare, navigating the resulting phenomena is as dubious and preposterous of an idea as trying to navigate actual abstract concepts, like, fucking, love, I don't know. How do you enter, walk around and exit "love". That shit is just some word, void in all physical senses, it doesn't mean anything. The whole thing about the powerup is presumably a tiny detail you missed to notice. Mr Dark didn't tease you with a normal powerup; that was your fist. Your actual ability to throw punches. He stole your powers just at the end of the previous level. During the entire last world he's been toying with you with a snap of the fingers. He controls your entire body, all your functions AND the world. And he snickers casually while doing it. His level of power is only limited by his will to either end the fight early or be somewhat amused to see you clown about aimlessly in hell. When rayman finally gets the upper hand thanks to the electoons he's saved Mr Dark doesn't play around, he's out. Fuck that noise. And who knows what he's planning or what he wanted to achieve in the first place. He doesn't even give you the satisfaction of knowing him, fighting him, you cannot touch him. It's so alluring. What is he. Did he really flee or was something sinister carried out in the end unbeknownst to us? The entire game is like a drug induced crazy journey, some silly nonsense adventure to jumpy jumpy through, and when you finally arrive at the point where you are supposed to save the world, it's like you finally realise how serious the situation is, and how little credit you gave to the end-dangers along the way. Water way over your head. Here you are, finally able to simply *witness* Mr Dark in person, and within seconds of his mere presence the fuck simply goes * Snap * "your very existence is now backwards." What the fuck are you supposed to do against something like that realistically? What was the plan here? Did we ever have a plan? What have we been doing? Holy shit?

I once decided to replay Rayman in it's entirety without saving. I didn't know about cheats (I was like 9 at the time). I did pretty well managing to get about 40 lives. I lost it all at Eat At Joe's because fuck that level. I hate it with a passion and because I lost about 5 hours of my time, because of that level. The bosses are so easy and didn't stand a chance against me, but Eat at Joes destroyed my ass.

As someone else pointed out, Skops is the easiest boss in the game, hands down. 1. Jump over projectile 2. While in mid-air still, punch Skops 3. Crouch where you land Rinse and repeat
