I never had a Nintendo portable console and I saw so many videos of this console so I bought the original 2DS and after a month I have to say that it is awesome!! I just love it so much, the size of the 2DS fits perfect in my hands and I love so so much playing Pokémon Moon it is like the superior and greatest version of a Tamagotchi!! economically, the OG 2DS is a must. If you want to be fancy and have the newer capabilities, then the new 2DS XL is the way to know. Price drop Drop top lol

Update: I just got the electric blue 2 2ds with Mario Kart 7 and Super Mario 3-D Land. Considering the price of the 2ds with the 3DS and 3DS XL and the announcement of the new 2ds XL I decided to go with the original 2ds because it is cheaper and I really don't care about the 3D features or the amiibos. I just wanted something that I could just grab and go. Thank you Ray! Your videos really helped me make the right decision!

I've had my 2DS since October, and I love it. Wouldn't trade it for the world, it looks cooler than any other console and plays more comfortably too. I always found the standard DS shape quite uncomfortable, so I still love my blue and black door stop! 😊

Raymond Strazdas so i got my 2ds this past monday and i gotta say..... totally worth the $91 (i know in this video you said it was a $79 steal but 91 bucks is nothing compared to my 3ds that i got brand new for almost $200.) the grip is super comfortable, i find it easier to play super smash bros on the 2ds than on the 3ds, the game graphics look a bit more HD (or maybe that's just me), and i LOVE LOVE LOVE the fact that i can play regular DS and 3ds games on the 2ds. PLUS: it came with a charger AND Mario Kart 7 already pre-installed. like i said totally worth the $91.

I have a sea green and an electric blue/black 2DS, both came with Mario Kart. If Nintendo bundled digital copies of Pokemon Sun and Moon with the 2DS, insane steal of a deal right, I'm sure it'd sell out. I know the 2DS already can come bundled with Pokemon X or Y just harder to find those bundles now.

I remember buying the 2ds the day it came out for 140 or so dollars. I was so happy because I just wanted something that would play the new pokemon game and when your a kid who has to pay for it yourself, you go with the cheapest option. So when the 2ds was announced I felt like it was a miracle I didn't have to spend all that money on a 3ds. It also came out on the same day as pokemon Y, the game I wanted, so I wouldn't be behind on playing the game.

My uncle was buying a 2ds for his kids and he managed to get a pretty good deal. For $49 he got the 2ds itself 6 games 2 amiibos the charger the NFC reader and the NFC reader for the amiibo. It also came with Mario kart 7.

Here in Canada, the original 2DS is $109.00. Then just like in the video, there's the charger here in Canada, $20.00 and then there's Mario kart 7 which is $35.00. But there is the exchange rate but really here in Canada, the 2DS is only $55.00. So i bought one myself. I have bigger hands too so the placement of the buttons and the triggers is a perfect spot especially when my dad plays, he says it takes him back to the original Game Boy. And I do feel safe if I accidentally drop it I feel safer that I don't have to worry about a hinge that would snap at both ends. One last thing is who wants a stylus that's the size of their index finger? The 2DS stylus is my favorite of all DS stylus".

I prefer the regular 2ds because I have one and it works just fine for me, so I'm just glad that I have the original 2ds! Plus, why buy a New Nintendo 2ds XL when you have the original 2ds, so buying the New XL version is just a waste of money. Great video btw Raymond! :)

nice review, recently Nintendo announced a Zelda edition bundle for this(2017) thanksgiving. I have not played Zelda (Ocarina of time) I am not sure whether it is worth waiting or I should go for Mario 2 bundle. I like adventure/action games.

Personally, now that Nintendo announced a larger 2DS XL version I think I prefer it better (my eyes would appreciate a bigger screen). But I do agree that the original 2DS packed with Mario Kart 7 is a steal. Either way, the 3DS is still a great system!
