Dude. Come to SDC at THS! I bet they'd even host you! I've got a spare bedroom too and live less than ten miles from there, and could probably score you a sweet deal on a VRBO house if you'd rather go that way.

I would love to do some more traveling to different tracks - what/where is "THS"?

Where did you get your red and white track barriers?

What’s the best micro drift gyro? I got the onisiki micro gyro and dang that thing makes my servo really wobbly.
@RoadsideRC24 күн бұрын
Honestly - I have never found a good micro drift gyro. Due to space, I used the Reefs Gyro on my 1/28. It worked OK, but certainly wasn't great. On my 1/18, I just shoved a full-size gyro in it! :)

Hey im planning on making a 1/28 scale rc drift car. Im planing on a smooth slow type of drifting and i was wondering if you have any gyro recommendations for under $60
@RoadsideRC27 күн бұрын
Honestly, the gyro is one of the parts in a drift car I HIGHLY suggest you don't skimp on spending. The only gyro I recommend in that range is this one: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z3OugGWKbNmYkJY

I see you have a 3d printer so could you maybe try printing some @slicedstuff 3d printed rc drift chassis or try printing idrift 3.6 chassis for ultimate budget rc drifter!!
@RoadsideRC25 күн бұрын
Yes! I have actually gone down this route. Here is the main issue: it is too expensive! Who would have guesses? The 3D printing of the chassis is rather cheap - yes. But by the time I added bearings, diffs, etc - I was at the price of most kits on the market! Argh.

@@RoadsideRC @slicedstuff some of his chassis have almost everything printed including diffs, gears and driveshaft

@Roadside rc do you have a discord channel?
@RoadsideRC29 күн бұрын
Hi there! I do not. What value do you see in those?
@1sickgsx29 күн бұрын
Deeper more meaningful conversations imo. But also a good back up in case the KZbin decides to unsubscribe folks that can still get that discord ping. Honestly I've been hoping a KZbin personality such as yourself might start an organized drift discord with folks able to upload very specific things beyond the spec sheet like a spec sheet with sevo, gyro, and transmitter settings. I couldn't get my RC8X to play nice with my drift stuff. After a software update it fried my RSST. Same exact setup as you minus servo and transmitter settings. Switched to a noble and all my gyro/servo issues disappeared. Now it's my crawler remote. KZbin a@@RoadsideRC
