step three is 57secs in to video I have the silver version of this remote I guess its a bit different what worked for me is this: 1. press and hold both power and tv at the same time for 5 secs power button should stay lit after being released. 2.press on and off button slowly until tv turns off. if you pressed it again keep pressing SLOWLY until the tv turns on. 3. press stop on remote then press power button to test. TAH DAH!

Kacy Landry THANK YOU.... I have been trying to program a converter box with my RCA remote for 2 hours now... FINALLY.... I did it exactly how You said above and in seriously 12 seconds it is now working !! Now if I can only figure out how to get this Converter Box back to English instead of Spanish. Apparently if you have a Sanyo TV/DVD combo, there are no codes for the DVD. There is no code for Sanyo in the TV/DVD combo section, nor is there a code for Sanyo DVDs. And I can't find anywhere online to tell me otherwise.

i just LOVE how she says: "if you're watching this to program a TV, skip to step 3". but the bitch doesn't tell you WHEN STEP 3 STARTS!!! i mean, at least give a pop up to take you to the correct part, or write the time in the description or something. i'm using this video to program a TV, and it was VERY confusing trying to use this video to do it. and it took waaay longer than it should have. ugh, long day and this was just plain annoying as hell DX
