Good that you like this 1002 that I did with rcinpower. I tried to explain what we did from the prototype to the final version, and a lot of setup to do. Specially and due to the power (+50% than 0802), you can lift any tiny camera like insta360 go 2 for example and do real tricks :) "More control" is also due to the double beerings :)

An interesting motor size for sure, I was surprised at the efficiency losses compared to 0802 though. Maybe they're better suited for 2" or 2s 40mm quads and a little too heavy for 1s 40mm. For the mob7 1s HD, I think 19,000 could be better, 1002 of course being bigger than the stock 0802 20,000kvs. 22,000 would be interesting too for sure

You should try those 14000kv on the BETAFPV HX115 LR you reviewed this time last year, possibly with 65mm props. the 18000KV it came with were stoooooopidly high KV for 3" props. 14000 is still really high, but I bet that and a slightly smaller prop, it might fly better, longer, and be more fun.

Trying to decide which KV to get.. Do you think the 22000kv on the baby nazgul would be a battery hog? Or do you think we could probably still squeez 2-3 min out of it? I get about 3-4 mins on my mob7 elrs running 22000kv 0802 and it is 1.5 grams lighter than the baby naz was with its 0802 config. Thanks!

You'll get less flight time than I did on the 19000kv motor. The 1002 motor is significantly larger than the 0802 motor so there's no way to compare them to each other. The 1002 motor draws more amps to provide that 50% boost in power. No way around that. Can't have both power and efficiency at the same time.

Having the motor wires on a pcb is something that should be standard in the hobby.. It sucks when a wire gets cut by something and then having to resolder wire to wire...

More fun because you can do things that you can't with 0802, like DJI naked that is really good for freestyle for example, or any camera on 75mm.

@@frankcastillo8869 to do things you can't do with 0802 ? It is an example :) But 1002 on 75mm is a total different feeling compare to 0802 due to the bearings. But the sweet spot is 2inch, as it is quite impossible to break the shaft and the power that these motors is able to provide vs the weight ratio is much more interesting than 0802
