If you ever wear those tires out and need new I reccomend getting the Proline Dumonts. The paddles are much harder and they work great

I’ll have to look into them thanks bud!

3s lipo recommended for sand runs? How the temps ?
@RCKnockout2 жыл бұрын
Temps are hot…..I kept on having limp mode issues……that’s more to do with the gearing though

Hello, I am very new to RC and I just got a vxl slash 2wd with the 272r transmission. I wanted to ask what regular maintenance would look like or how often I should do it? What should I be checking on a regular basis? I have seen lots of videos from traxxas about lubing transmissions and bearing and such, but I don’t really know if that’s necessary to do every time after I run it offroad in dust and dirt or through wet terrain. Im hesitant about disassembling that much, especially very often (after every wet run like traxxas says, for example). I’ve done a lot of reading but there doesn’t seem to be much on general maintenance out there. Any suggestions or ideas? I’ll be happy to take all advice!

I usually do as minimal maintenance as possible…..I try to use wd40 on the wheel bearing and differential output bearings…..basically all the bearings I can get to…I only disassemble the trans if a gear strips or a bearing falls apart or seizes up….otherwise I don’t worry about that

Every time I run my vxl 2wd slash in sand I get so much built up in the rspur gear cover it crunches and screams a bunch of noises and I wear out the teeth. I even had to change the vilenion motor end bearings.

I’ve never really had that issue……I run in sand quite a bit too…..

Another great vid Nolan! How are you cleaning the sand out of the Slash on-the-road, especially when its a bit damp? Cheers, dave
@RCKnockout2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I don’t clean it til I get home…..so it sits which isn’t great but it is what it is
