I resharpened a second-hand Yuji Tsukiji (layered steel yanagiba knife) that I bought secondhand. This Damascus knife has an attractive unique striped pattern and is popular in Europe and other countries.

築地有次の鞘を買ったのですがモナカのような繋ぎ目が見えないのです。 木目にも違和感無く、無垢材から削り出したような見た目をしています。 …と思い、じっくり眺めていたら極細の繋ぎ目を発見しました💡 見事な技術ですよね😯 表は研がずに片刃の裏を研いで済ませる人が世の中には残念ながら存在します。 この研ぎ方では鋼の寿命が大幅に短くなる事を自覚していないと思われ、呆れてしまいました。

鞘も繊細に作られていて、中々他の物に合わせようとしてもピッタリ合わないもの多いですよね😆 裏研いで刃付けする人も居るのですね、ビックリしました😵

鍛冶は榎並さんでしょうか 表の模様を消したくなくてか簡単に刃がつくからかほとんど裏から研がれていて包丁がかわいそうですね、、、 仁さんに引き取ってもらえて喜んでいると思います

刀の刻印面の特徴がハレマ長雪様の鍛造品のような気もしますね韓国でよく見ています

確かに、私も洗ったこと無いですがどうですかね。とりあえずシャカシャカして乾かすしかないかも☺️
