I mean, I get it. She barely can do anything on her own, so asking her to move out probably wasnt the right time. But I bet Amy wouldnt have asked her to move out if Tammy actually tried to loose weight and didnt blame everything on her.

@Caffeineoholic Soul Yeah I didnr watch much of them either but I think I saw one video where amy actually got the operation and lost alot of weight while tammy lived with her boyfriend, hasnt lost much or any weight. And I think her boyfriend was problematic as well but I dont really remember, if you are interested, you should be able to find videos about that by looking up their names.

Tammy: “I just feel like she needs to be more....helpful?” Betch, Amy has literally been responsible for you financially-she took you into her house simply out of the kindness of her heart and buys your fatty fried food that’s causing your weight to stay the same for you. She also helps you physically-she helps you with your shopping that YOU should be doing and whenever you ask her to get something for you when you can easily get up and get it yourself and then proceed to sit back down. Even when she does these simple tasks for you, you repay her by insulting her and not acknowledging all she’s done for you. Amy does not need to be more helpful YOU NEED TO BE MORE GRATEFUL.

I don't think Tammy realizes that getting the surgery is not the end of their journey. It's the beginning. Seeing Amy lose weight and succeed could be so motivating to her, because she'd see that it WORKS
4 жыл бұрын
they dont even need that surgery, just need to have some self control and stop stuffing their face with food
@moonkafu2157
@moonkafu2157 4 жыл бұрын
@ in such an extreme case surgery IS necessary. Its impossible for them to loose enough weight on their own before its too late for them without harming themselves. Also, they're in need of therapy because they're not in good mental health, and to "just stop stuffing their face with food" is not that easy, if it was obesity wouldn't exist.

The doctors should give them fully prepared meal plans with recipes, because the sisters don't know healthy food that well, so they may not know how to cook it. I think it would be very helpful for them

Positivity attracts positive things. Amy is obviously optimistic, and this keeps her going with a fresh perspective. Tammy, on the other hand, is just constantly picking out all the negative things. How can you keep going if all you can see is darkness?

@Lost Traveller Yeap. I get the feeling she just magically expects herself to lose weight without actually doing anything. You HAVE to exercise. You HAVE to eat healthier. Of course it's hard. If it isn't hurting, it isn't working. At the end of the end it HER responsibility for her own health. She has to lose weight on her own. Amy is trying to lose weight earnestly, meanwhile Tammy is basically just begging, "Amy, lose my weight for me."

Even Tammy's responses seem defensive, as if she either knows she hasn't been doing as well as she can, or she is afraid of being (or perceiving to be) attacked. 'I *have* been doing pretty good.' ' *Amy* is the one bringing stuff in, so *I* am not cheating.' (aka it is not my fault if I am not doing well), always making excuses, ect.

For some reason I can't sit through these shows on my own, but when I'm watching them with reactors' commentary, they suddenly become much more interesting, so thank you for that.. Also, I've been watching a lot of Psychology in Seattle vids, so the first thing that came to mind watching these sisters is how it very much looks like an overfunctioning-underfunctioning dynamic between them with a dose of entanglement and a couple of unhealthy schemas which seem to have developed in their growing up years. I remember when I used to make all these excuses to avoid staying on a diet or exercising. It was always 'I'll diet next week,' 'I'm too busy to exercise' and so on. I thought it didn't matter if I lost weight or not because I didn't have a social life anyways, and I didn't really need to look good for anyone. I also have anxiety problems and get depressed really easily, and it's still very easy to give up on myself. But recently, I finally got off my butt to go to the nearby fitness center and even hired a personal trainer - and it was absolutely worth it. I used to be 73 kg at 160 cm in height. And I lost 4-5 kg in a month. My pt helped me set my life straight, and seeing the results of my hard work really made me feel proud of myself. I'm starting to feel a bit more confident too. I have to say, the lost weight and toned muscles are doing wonders for my mental health. I feel like I have more control over my body and thus more control over my life. I'm still working hard to achieve my goal of reaching 55 kg, and it's looking to be closer with each day I go to exercise.

Tammy doesn't surprise me at all. When a person gets as big as her, it usually means they can't handle anything. They get used to everyone doing everything for them because they feel they can't do it. It becomes their normal, then when the person says "do it yourself" it is seen as selfish to Tammy. I'm not saying it's OK behaviour but it's very expected.

In normal situations, it's good to give the person little nudges in the right direction. But in the circumstance where the person can barely move, it's so important to be patient with them, instead of just calling them a baby and telling them to move out.

Honestly, the part where Amy was putting food on Tammy's plate when they were younger really gets to me. My older sibling and I were in a home that wasn't very good for us with barely any food to get by. My older sibling used to give me their food saying they weren't hungry. So seeing that honestly made me upset cause of similar situations. And how deeply Amy cares for Tammy reminds me how much my older sibling cares for me. I honestly wouldn't have survived childhood if it wasn't for my older sibling. I really hope they are able to settle their differences and be able to help each other out. I couldn't imagine what it would feel like to lose my best friend and family like that. I don't want them to go through it. Stay strong ladies you got this.

i hate how tammy is manipulating amy. "abandoning"??? she should be responsible for herself. she watched amy cry and then said she never blamed amy, but in this situation she's guilt-tripping her sister when she should be fully supportive bc her sister is working so hard to get the surgery. the selfishness wow

We didn't see much, but I got the feeling their mom was very narcissistic, especially when they described her as not showing them love. I'm more and more convinced throughout that Tammy is a narcissist. Always playing the victim and so extremely self centered and entitled. And the way she picks fights so she can sit back and say stuff like look you obviously don't care about me. My mom is a narcissist. Their abuse is often subtle and difficult to see from an outside perspective. But it is still so damaging.

I don't understand exactly why I enjoy watching these ladies react to reality TV shows when I don't want to watch the reality TV show by itself. But I'm ok with it. Maybe it's because these ladies are both really nice and really cute :) Also I love the doctor in this show, he doesn't pull punches telling them they need to do better but he's supportive

Love how both the Dr and the Psychologist told Tammy that she was the only person responsible for her lack of weight loss, that expecting Amy to run around after her was laziness and she was involved with the food choices. They both told Amy that she needed to make better food choices and work harder on exercise, but she was very stressed. So interesting that the Korean ladies had picked up on that already.

It’s kinda sad when you can relate to their story..not the weight part but just their personalities in general. My sister always puts herself down like Tammy does and she tends to depend on people more. Amy cares but she does it quietly, like me. I may seem cold towards my sister at times but no matter what I’m always looking out for her. It’s easier to put on a fake smile just so you can show the ones around you that they have someone to lean on, but even the happiest person can’t be happy all the time. It takes a toll on those of us who tend to care for others before ourselves. Anyways, I really enjoy reacting to your videos! You both have such fun personalities and just hearing your opinion on things is interesting to listen to. I hope you’re both staying safe and healthy during these hard times 🥺💙

Tammy is always saying “I’m not ready”. She believes her own lies when in reality she can decide when she’s ready. She has to start some where because if she keeps believing that she’s not ready, ready is never gonna happen. She procrastinates too much as her sister Amy moves on and takes responsibility. Instead of waiting for some magical feeling that’ll tell you when ur ready all of a sudden (which isn’t gonna happen and she probably knows that), take responsibility and join your sister in the journey. With a victim mindset, Tammy isn’t gonna get anywhere. She needs to start seeing things from a different perspective by putting herself in Amy’s shoes.
