Good morning for you How nice to find a young person who likes the music of previous decades And that he also openly confess his preference for the Swedish group ABBA, in my opinion the most iconic and influential in rock and pop music after THE BEATLES I am 63 years old and my favorite group was BEATLES and their solo careers, followed by the Bee Gees ballads. ABBA I discovered it already advanced with the album Greatest Hits and then the succession of Arrival and ABBA The Album, and the film ABBA The Movie, the Unicef Concert and Chiquitita just at this stage of my life ABBA is my favorite (along with BEATLES); perhaps my melancholy is identified with the Swedish melancholy; maybe after seeing Paul McCartney live here in Buenos Aires I will reach a musical goal, and now all my energies are with the Fab Four from Sweden ABBA has a colossal merit: it conquered the musical world without denying its Swedish identity and ideosyncracy; in a market dominated by the English and North Americans they put the Swedish flag on the highest since the triumph in the Eurovision Contest with the fantastic “Waterloo” My favorite ABBA albums are "Arrival" and "The Album", then one step down comes "ABBA" and "Super Trouper' I love having discovered your channel and your attitude to face the song (I can only suggest you show the video of what you are watching) It is perceived that you know their music and enjoy it In terms of that song, it is not among my favorites from the Super Trouper album, but I love its chorus (is there any ABBA chorus that is not good?) And the instrumentation P.S. continue in next comment

Blondie, the Police, Abba last records and such are still pretty new school to me (not counting hophip and computer music of today), while the Beatles, the Stones, Beach boys, Johnny Cash, and country music were all perceived as pretty darn dated already when I was your age in the early 1980s. If you’d like a foretaste of what ABBA would have sounded like in the 80s had they continued as a group, I recommend you checking out the original concept album for Chess. It’s a rock opera created by Benny and Björn along with Tim Rice (the lyricist of The Lion King) right after ABBA had disbanded. The score is just magnificent, all the songs are bops. You won’t regret it!

Ok..An ABBA song you don't know? Try Cassandra, The Day before you Came, Under Attack, Soldiers, Should I laugh or Cry, I am the City and Just like that. These are some of their last and some of these are rare. Also, I spent many a Year in Germany dancing to a lot of music that is VERY rare in the USA if not ever played. Robin Gibb of the Bee Gee's went solo in the early 80's and scored three top 10 hits in Europe that never charted in the US. Great Dance songs. Try Juliette, How old are You and Boys do fall in Love. I think you will like each one. I have dozens more also from many different singers and groups that are old school but rare in the US. Oh, BTW, I know of 5 ABBA songs you don't know because they were just recorded! Yes, they reunited and recorded 5 new songs to be released this year.

@@adrianareacts5273 Believe it or not, Me also. I served in Germany in the early 1980's and they were BIG. Danced many a night away with German Ladies to ABBA songs Like the one you just reacted to [ Me and I ]. So have you heard of their song Just like that? It was one of their last songs and not fully finished. 1982 song by Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus, which is an unreleased song recorded by ABBA. The song was recorded by Swedish brother and sister duo, Karin Glenmark and Anders Glenmark as Gemini on Polydor, for the album Gemini (1986) produced by Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus with Anders Glenmark, and released as a 1986 single. The song was originally intended to become part of Mamma Mia, but this did not happen, though a snippet of the 1982 recording was made available in "ABBA Undeleted" from Thank You for the Music (box set). Parts of the song were used in the 1982 ABBA single ‘Under Attack’. In 1983, Bjorn was planned on putting songs recording during The Visitors sessions on a LP. Many tapes were robbed from Bjorn's car by an anonymous person at one point after leaving his car outside, and have been included on many bootlegs since. Among these were 3 takes of the ABBA recording of Just Like That, nicknamed the "slow", "na-na-na" and "saxophone" versions respectively. A song that was planned to be on the album ("I Am The City") did get an official release, as a track in More ABBA Gold: More ABBA Hits.
