Since I haven’t seen it mentioned yet, Team Four Star has actually released a sequel of sorts to DBZA called HFIL (Home For Infinite Losers), which has completely original animation and features Perfect Cell’s experience in the afterlife after he was killed by Gohan. There’s 10 episodes out already and it’s absolutely fantastic!

The reaction to Cell's Jiren reference did not disappoint (well, you missed the "see I thought it was boring too" line but otherwise lol). Fun ride with you guys on this, would definitely suggest going through the Dragon ShortZ and maybe HFIL before going into Buu!Kai if you go that route, since it does fill in a few gaps during the timeskip that happens post-Cell. (Assuming you haven't already since I know you've done the Buu Bits already). Would probably be cool to see you guys react to YGO Abridged, too. Though on Kai, echoing my comment on 60 proper: if you feel like reacting to Dragon Ball from jump, would suggest the "Dragon Ball Recut" fanedit by IAmTheMilkman, which removes a lot of the filler from DB and makes it about 80 episodes; from there, jump into his "Dragon Ball Kai Recut," which he just finished up recutting the Buu arc for--altogether, it takes the 167 episodes from all of Kai (Saiyan-Buu) to 130ish, with Saiyan-Cell being 82 vs 98 originally. Kai got a bit worse about removing filler into the Buu arc, so he makes it a much more streamlined time, lol. (Also, for DB, I kinda would recommend going with the Japanese subbed version because the dub still takes some liberties where it shouldn't, but Kai's dub is fantastic and the Recut project makes it a good time [also includes the OP and Ending songs we never got in the West for it])

If I think about it, it takes time to travel in time, no matter which direction. To the timeline inhabitants the traveller pops out of nowhere, for the traveller time went by to get there. Consequently a time traveller will *never* be able to return to whichever timeline it came from, it will just be another branch in time, but never the same “home” timeline. In other words, it's not the same apocalyptic future Trunks returns to and it's not the same Trunks that returns to the Bulma of that timeline.

You should pick up from the Otherworld Tournament, which is the filler in-between Cell and Buu and actually a lot of fun. It's just a minisaga. Other DBZA reaction channels have successfully continued with Kai into Buu. Your numbers will drop, but that's to be expected. You 4 are entertaining and I'm sure people will stay with you.

Just to let you know, there are 3 types of time travel established in Dragon Ball. 1. The first is the normal/physical one that Bulma discovered and Future Trunks used. Presumably anyone smart enough can access, and is possibly related to hyperbolic time chamber. You can not physically go back in time, you instead create a different timeline every time you jump and land in it the time you chose. So if you go back in time to save your mother from dying, your mother still dies in your time line, but you created a timeline (WITH ANOTHER YOU STILL IN IT) where your mother lived 2. The second one is the really good one that Angels and possibly Gods of destruction have access too. The one Whis uses in Resurrection F a time "rewind". He doesn't go back in time, rather he rewinds time itself so the people you choose are unaffected, but the people you don't are. So in that case rewinding time led to Freiza's death, and Earth's destruction being undone. This is the one where you can go back in time, in your timeline, and use to win the lottery or something. This one is essentially a "do-over" and due to it's nature Whis is only allowed to rewind time 3 minutes 3. Whatever shenanigans the Supreme of Kai time seems to use. Hers is a bit wonky, and i don't get how it works.

There's 3 timelines: Main timeline that keeps getting revisted, starting with Cell, then Trunks twice Trunk's timeline where he kills the androids and Cell Cell's timeline where he kills Trunks after Trunks kills the androids, which has probably been destroyed by Majin Buu, unless Babadi couldn't get enough energy to open the pod.

My theory for why the androids behave different and have different power levels is that in the past time line hero was forced to release the androids early due to the z fighters. while in the future time line he released them when he wanted to probably thinking he could finally control them with whatever method he used costing power, but it just removed there morals. That or the fact there was no Goku to kill fucked something up

I think the best way for Boom to watch Dragon Ball Z original, is simply going through all the main/final fights of each saga. Let Boom experience how the fights actually went. DBZ Abridged pretty much gave out what the plots and lore of each saga actually was about. I would really like Boom seeing the original fights of Goku turning Super Saiyan fighting Frieza, and Gohan vs Cell. Because Gohan's dub transformation with the music, and Goku's SS transformation is fantastic. Then, Buu saga works well immediately after.

Time travel in DBZ exists based on multiverse rules, where if you create an alternate timeline, it exists as a parallel universe while your original timeline remains unaffected. We later learn in DBS that if a deity like a Kai or a God of Destruction changes they though that the future will adjust itself to the new timeline rather than create a new one.

I still can't recommend Something Witty Entertainment's Sword Art Online Abridged enough. They have a good chunk of TFS in their ranks (at least after episode 3), and it's amazing. Starts a bit iffy, but it's still quite funny. It just doesn't REALLY take off until after TFS comes in and takes over.

For budokai kai games if u don't have the console or if it doesn't work out u can download them online on ur pc and parsec your gameplay to do local split screeen with friends from a far, but u have to have a good network connection to really benefit and enjoy it without lags and disconnecting.

DBZ Kai does cut out the filler and have improved animation (it is also more closer to the original Japanese version with dialouge and music) but a lot of us prefer the funimation DBZ with Bruce Faulconer music and some iconic dialogues from Z. Also to play BT3 from different locations you would need a ps3 emulator on pc (at least one of you), with something like Parsec (screensharing software) all of you will need to get. You can get multiple people connected and take turns. Each o you wil need controllers as well if you take turns. Cheers 🍺

Well, if you think about it power wise, The androids in the main timeline were stronger than Trunk's future timeline. Trunks was stronger after the time chamber by a long shot since Imp cell was stronger than them before he ate 17, and Trunks could body Semi Perfect Cell. He could have wiped the floor with _both_ pairs of 17 and 18 after the time chamber training.

I’m sure that everyone and their mother’s mother’s grandmothers have been screaming at you from the rooftops about this, but if you want more stories from the DBZA universe, there’s always the DragonShortZ they did, HFIL: Home for Infinite Losers and the recently released Buu Bits! The Bits MIIIIIGHT need a rudimentary knowledge of the Buu Saga, but you did this entire series just fine so it entirely depends on you. HOOOOOWEVAH!! If you want something very similar to how they handled DBZA, I strongly suggest you watch Final Fantasy VII Machinabridged. Starts off pissing on itself very much like DBZA did, but becomes more and more fantastic as it goes on, very much like DBZA did. Highly recommended, especially if you’re a fan of FFVII or Final Fantasy in general.
