Hi guys and welcome back to another 'FLASHBACK FRIDAY!' and in today's video and following last week's video, I am reacting to ALL DEAD LAST PLACERS AT EUROVISION SEMI FINALS from 2004 - 2019
That's right, we start at 2004, this is when semi finals were first introduced to us. This is a whole new learning experience for me folks as I didn't like watching the semi finals, so my memory is SO hazy!
but, what I want to know is... Who is your biggest injustice?! Who didn't deserve their place at the bottom? and which non qualifier in general deserved to perform at the live finals?

Had to go to final: Finland 2012, Netherlands 2012, Estonia 2016, North Macedonia 2017, Finland 2017, San Marino 2018, Poland 2019 and Slovakia 2010

My favorite non-q are Finland 2017 Blackbird, Slovakia 2010 Horehronie (you're right, always robbed), Portugal 2019 Telemoves and Hungary 2019 Az en apam (love love Joci). As for last places, actually I think San Marino coming last in semi 1 in 2008 and Switzerland 2010 is an injustice, I really like those songs. This was such a fun video, thanks a lot. Btw, when are we getting a Roko cover? ;)

Favourite last placers are definitely Estonia 2016 and Latvia 2017.Deserved waaaay much better! Ps. Finland placing lower than Montenegro in 2019 was a crime against humanity. 😂

My favourite non-qualifier is Walking Out by Srbuk (Armenia 2019) but ma favourite dead last was probably Spirit of the Night (San Marino 2017)

Also happy 1st birthday to your album "Closed heart, dry eyes"!!! It was April 12th this year!! I saw the date when it was released!! My two favorite songs from the album are WHIPPED and CRAZY! I really love this album!! Happy birthday to the album!!! I know im late

Thank you for doing this compilation video of all the years since official, televised semi-finals were introduced in 2004. By the way, there was one semi-final from 2004 to 2007 inclusive, and there were two semi-finals from 2008 onwards. You may wish to consider reviewing the following songs: Romania: Dida Drăgan -"Nu pleca"(last place in Kvalifikacija za Millstreet 1993, which was broadcast in certain countries only) Romania: Monica Anghel & Sincron - "Rugă pentru pacea lumii" (last place in the 1996 audio qualifier, which wasn't broadcast on TV or radio)

I personally love Look Away, like Daeva. I still preferred the studio version to live imo as I thought the live didn't seem to upbeat enough for the crowd to vibe with it. Also, this is my kind of music and should've qualified instead of San Marino

The best songs Andorra 2006 (maybe too dramatic for Eurovision) San Marino 2008 (is a good song why last place) Latvia 2009 (don’t know why but I like this) Switzerland 2010 (this was just different, not bad) Poland 2011 (not a fan but good) The Netherlands 2011 (really good vibes) Slovenia 2013 (too simple for the finals) Georgia 2014 (nothing special but not a last place) Switzerland 2015 (MOST UNDERRATED SONG EVER (how did Cyprus qualify with this)) Estonia and Switzerland 2016 (this was probably the best Eurovision and this two weren’t enough) Latvia and San Marino 2017 (simple but good) Germany 2018 (you have to listen to this with headphones)

Unpopular opinions: Look Away is a great bop that was robbed in my opinion. It is amazing. The staging elevated the song itself for me and it was not the worst song of its semi for sure, in my opinion. And I also love Latvia 2013. It is my kind of cheese. Their vocals were admittedly off but everything else was good. My third fave Latvian entry from 2010-2021. And so was Austria 2012. It was not that bad but I can understand why it did though. The staging was the main problem I had with it. I also love Switzerland 2015. It was robbed. It had everything to do well. I think it was too ahead of the times. These are all bops.

A non qualifier I really loved that comes to mind is Greece 2018. It was robbed in my opinion/should deffinately have qualified. And I love Switzerland 2008 too, One of my favorites that year. I don't think any of the 2016 dead last places deserved it. (maybe some might think Juri looked a little creepy or the song was a bit monotonous, but I like it. And Rykas song and performance was sweet) Some of the dead last places I agree on like both of them in 2009.

Jenny (Andorra 2006) deserved more! I love the song, her voice and charisma and their different performance. What for? (Latvia 2010) is still one of my favourite songs from that year, but the performance killed it. It just didn’t work at all. Switzerland was in my top 10 in 2015. Still can’t believe Melanie was the dead last. #Robbed And speaking about robbed, Jüri’s song was great. (Estonia 2016) He deserved to qualify that year! And don’t even start with Triana Park. (Latvia 2017) How on Earth was that song DEAD last? It’s Iconic!

2006, Sense Tu, Andorra, ROBBED! I think this has to do mainly because Andorra had no close friends in Europe, besides Spain...for me from all the non qualifiers, I love and still listen to the following tracks: Malta 2007 Vertigo, Cyprus 2006 Why do the angels cry(the first and probably the last ballad with gospel choir), Greece 2018 to oneiro mou.

2006 - Slyvia Night did better than this - travesty! 2008 - poor Complice, 2009 - if you're gonna fail - go epic! 2010 - yup this is bad and the lyrics are cringe too! 2011 - poor Is, I agree 2012 Woki Mitt de Poopo is a banger! As is PeR! 2014 - I like Georgia's silly song about Skydivers, 2015:- both are better than fricking Chain of Lights, 2016 - poor Joori, Rykka's movements are in bit marionette operated by drunk person, 2018 - yup Iceland Def went 'ignore this effers!!' the next year.
