They're all outstanding. IMO don't think one member overshines the others. The vocals, the bass line, the juicy riff and that absolute monster on the drums, they're all in full throttle nuts to butts.

This is why I love this song: No two sections are the same. There is no distinct chorus or verse in this song and that takes balls, but it also allows the song to be much more fluid and progressive and deviate from its starting point much more. (I believe there's a time when the lyrics repeat but the melody behind is completely different, there's a time when the melody repeats, but the lyrics are different, and there is a time when the lyrics repeat but the melody is different and one repetition is sung while the other is growled, but that is the most repetition there is in this song.) Traditionally when you have a repeating verse and chorus the chorus serves as an anchor only allowing you to deviate so far before it brings the melody back home, but in this song they completely abolished that concept, allowing the song to gradually drift away from the starting point to the point where the ending sounds nothing like the beginning. I think the way in which they did that is also especially cool because even though the melody drifts, it drifts in a very specific direction. It starts out extremely energetic and chaotic and slowly the chaos progresses to order as the song becomes more melodic, and the energy moves towards equilibrium as the notes get farther and farther apart until you end up with something doom-metal-esque at the end. The tone of the song starts out expressing rage and that shifts into something dark and foreboding. That fits the lyrics very well because it's sung from the perspective of Mother Earth enraged at arrogant mankind for thinking they own the planet and treating it like a garbage can, then shifting to a proclamation of doom saying that this will be the end of mankind if it continues. As for the next Jinjer song I would say Home Back, but don't do it yet because there is a music video coming out for it very soon. Also they just released their first live album today -Alive in Melbourne, the audio album is available on streaming services and the full video footage is on Napalm Records' KZbin page. I think you will really enjoy it, but there's probably a few songs on there you haven't reacted to yet.

I can't remember where I heard it. But every time you check out their music, it reinforces the idea. Said idea is that Jinjer are a "musician's band". They play with such complex ideas and concepts musically, and they are so god damn good at it. Everyone appreciates then, but the musicians just find something... More. Great video, and I'm looking forward to seeing more of your musical journey. Not just with Jinjer but overall.

Been waiting for this one :) The first time I heard it I wasn't really a fan, though that's largely because I'd had a few too many the night before & the swaying camera movement in the video was making me nauseous. Love it now though! You made an interesting comment about the bass picking up some of the melodies due to there only being one guitar. Eugene has said that is the main reason he plays a 5 string - so he can help give that "fuller" sound. Really interesting video. Here's a link to it: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fJvJc3lrbM1le9E Jinjermetalband youtube channel has a ton of content like that, if you're interested.
