I've been talking to a member of Ghost Iris on IG and they did live shows with Jinjer in Germany last September. I think a lot of people would agree when I say, we NEED "Interview with a Roadie" with someone from Jinjer. We have to figure out what it takes to make this happen. This band is ridiculously talented, and I am so looking forward to seeing where they can go from here.

I think they would be available for something like this. The band gets how big these reaction channels play in to their rising success. Fun reaction. The two clubs I saw them at were 400 and 800 capacity (Brick by Brick in San Diego and El Corazon in Seattle). Haven’t finished watching yet so not sure if it gets covered, but this song has a reference to their song “Dreadful Moments” from the Micro EP. Another song on Macro “The Prophecy” references “Ape” from Micro. Plus there’s “Perennial” on both but the Macro version is a remix/outro sort of deal.

The band members are from the Russian speaking border region of Ukraine. The part that is still partly occupied by Russia and Russian funded rebels. They grew up in a literal warzone, which gives a lot of context to their lyrics. In this specific song, the line "childhood of miseries, life long injury" is a reflection on that.

Thanks ,great informative reaction.Ukrainians speak in Ukrainian and Russian languages ,in western part of Ukraine mostly in Ukrainian ,in eastern ,where are the band's members are from, mostly in Russian ,in other regions in both languages .So,the intro part of the song in Russian . Now they live in Kyiv ( Kiev - transcription from Russian )-the capital of Ukraine .So many people hear some Gwen Stefani influence in Tatiana's clean vocals in different songs.Personally I hear it more in the clean part of the song "Ape".These guys are special ,they used to do everything in their own way ,so I wouldn't be surprised if they used their gear even in Australia :-) "Pit of consciousness "live in Kiev is another great live performance , but official music video is awesome too .

I'd suggest Guano Apes "Big in Japan" "Open Your Eyes" and "You Can't Stop Me" - not exactly metal, more 00s German hard rock, but you can definitely see the vocal influences Tatiana references when asked! Plus, Sandra was ahead of her time with the "pretty singing/growling" combo!

Also, they did, assuming I've got the right tour up, 40 dates in the states. America is huge, but 40 dates can still be done logically with a lot of their own gear. Each of the 5 gigs they did in australia were very long distances apart. *checks* These are guesses, based soley on A to B via a straight line, no factoring in any actual travel just straight distance. Basically add half again to each distance for actual driving. Adelaide to Canberra = 1000KM (620M) Canberra to Melbourne = 464KM (288 Miles) Melbourne to Sydney = 714KM (444 Miles) Sydney to Brisbane = 733KM (455 Miles) Every night. Gonna guess they flew. They could have driven, but the Canberra to melbourne drive takes 7 hours minimum. Melbourne to sydney takes 14 hours driving... cause you gotta swing back past canberra... America is huge, but australia is gigantic... Oh and that didn't even do an WA leg. Perth to Adelaide is twice the Adelaide to Canberra distance. Longer if you actually try the trip. TL;DR; They flew and They Rented. Anything else would have been too expensive and tiring.
@nathanberry48494 жыл бұрын
I did the Canberra show the night before. Even smaller venue, maybe 200 people tops? And the meet and greet too, they were TIRED, and our meet and greet was a couple hours before the show. Tati is tiny, you'd never figure that when she's on stage though. Gawdayumn.
@TankTheTech4 жыл бұрын
I also know they flew and rented because I’ve done basically that same routing multiple times with multiple bands and you can’t drive it not only because of time, but because of the commercial travel logistics in Australia.

@@TankTheTech Yeah, I wasn't even gonna touch on that cause I was long winded already. But yeah, unless you're Maiden and can pack your tour into your own plane and have your singer fly you everywhere? You gotta do it the cheap way and convenient way.
