The strange thing is that it feels like the whole crowd is part of the song. He doesnt have the best vocal but his energy,spirit and storytelling makes up for that ten fold. Still think he should win. Never seen something like it. Its like everybody sings Europapa not just joost.

I hope Joost is going to win it, he's different, authentic but also has a great story. A true artist although he may not have the most beautiful singing voice. In my opinion he doesn't need that beautiful singing voice, he's great as he is

It's kind of ridiculous because the beat is so happy and energetic, but I cry when I watch Joost. The message of the song is so good, knowing how much he struggled and how his love for his parents motivated him towards this goal. Like, he's an amazing performer, very genuine act. I didn't think I would cry so much watching his performance.

Same, I tear up even before the outro actually starts because the story behind the song makes me so emotional. And Joost's song "Florida 2009" is the only song that makes me cry without fail every time I listen to it.

I am so Dutch and the first time hearing it I was not that enthousiast. But the song has every element in it. Its art, poetry, energy, catcjy.. I fell in love wiTh Joost. The croud went crazy and whas a part of the performance! Nailed it Joost!!❤❤❤❤

Joost Klein already won. His journey through life was to make it to the Eurovision Songfestival. As a little kid, he said to his dad, he could make it. He did. Unfortunately, his dad and mom died when Joost was 12 and 13.

Sadly he has been disqualified for nothing. Read the statement of the Dutch broadcaster. The organisation knew after this performance that Joost Klein wouod win Eurovision amd they had to prevent this at all cost. Shame and disgraceful. 😢

I think he brings something to the stage that was lost to a lot of previous Dutch contestants: Dutch culture. The way he shows off a Dutch sub culture that speaks to many is great.

Proud of Joost, he nailed it. But Armenia and Greece also impressed me much, but Nemo that is not for me, oh taste/ preference is a strange thing, it is non debatable, the is no right or wrong when it comes to taste/ preferences. But oh my, why do ppl undress to perform!? Or better said why do we accept this burlesque goings on for already way to long?! Yeah sex sells I know, but its a song contest not a strip show!? Statement in English We have taken note of the disqualification by the EBU. AVROTROS finds the disqualification disproportionate and is shocked by the decision. We deeply regret this. An incident occurred after last Thursday's performance. Against clearly made agreements, Joost was filmed when he had just gotten off stage and had to rush to the greenroom. At that moment, Joost repeatedly indicated that he did not want to be filmed. This wasn’t respected. This led to a threatening movement from Joost towards the camera. Joost did not touch the camera woman. This incident was reported, followed by an investigation by the EBU and police. Yesterday and today we consulted extensively with the EBU and proposed several solutions. Nevertheless, the EBU has still decided to disqualify Joost Klein. AVROTROS finds the penalty very heavy and disproportionate. We stand for good manners -let there be no misunderstanding about that- but in our view, an exclusion order is not proportional to this incident. We are very disappointed and upset for the millions of fans who were so excited for tonight. What Joost brought to the Netherlands and Europe shouldn’t have ended this way.
