Like it makes zero sense this move. GMs make only moves that have an idea behind them and make sense. To consider a move that can be proven beneficial in 20-30 moves ahead, THAT IS CRAZY! Sorry, only computers can see such moves. Then Danya goes on saying "Bc8 very interesting" but why??? And it's not even a difficult move, it's literally one of 2 or 3 moves you'd ever consider playing in the position. Just because the number one move is very natural doesn't mean the second is difficult or unnatural. He thought he could trap the bishop and was looking for a way to do that. After black plays h6 and Bxc3 and g5, the bishop only has one way to escape. You have to cover e5, d6, and c7 to trap it. Bc8 covers e5 with the rook, can't cover the other 2 squares so he abandons the idea. If you sense tactical possibilities, of course you will ponder other moves that also improve the position (reposition bishop off bad diagonal, give the rook more scope on the e-file). The reason it's still the top 2 engine move is because it improves the position and doesn't exclude you playing h6 next.

This is like the world's longest version of when your opponent crushes you, but they miss the most efficient mate at the end, and you show them the faster mate in post mortem to save face. But he's attacking Danya's entire character instead. H.F.D.

Waiting for the part 4 after kramnik's part 3 which shows naroditsky using engine against a weak player and casually admits he's using engine during live stream.

Now you have to react to Danya's videos also. Also Kramnik saying "I'm not accusing" when he says "it's clearly engine he's looking at"

As a person teaching at university also during covid, it was already a nightmare having students setup cameras during exams to ensure no cheating happens. Imagine having to observe hundreds if not thousands of chess players during title tuesday and have them setup multiple cameras all the time....its unfeasible if you think about it for 2 minutes Vlad...

The "I'm not accusing" bit is so dishonest. Newsflash for Kramnik: not literally saying something outright, but clearly implying it is still defamation.

“No one is a priori innocent.” is an unhinged credo, tbh.
@RG0011004 күн бұрын
I think he means “should be possible to scrutinize anyone”, which itself is reasonable. Albeit, he reckoned Hikaru’s 100-win streak against a master was suspicious… so when Kramnik invokes “can inspect anyone”, it’s a cover to allow him to accuse anyone. His videos really aren’t careful/reasonable enough for him to be as vocal as he is.

In part 4 there is a scene with Danya, where i really was like "wtf is going on". I wont spoil and i am, courios, what u will have to say about it. :)

28:25 Kramnik paid 500 dollars for houdini, I assumed because he tried to create a 3d scene to simulate where danya is looking, but it seems he gave up, he could use some ai tools to import danya's webcam into 3d space. This proves he is not doing this for content but because he actually believes he's a cheater.
@moneybyziggy4 күн бұрын
well, I somehow agree with Kramnik as Danya is looking more at something rather than staring away from monitor while thinking.
@ryanlind52394 күн бұрын
I don't think there is anything more human and relatable than having a good position against a strong player and being worried that you're going to screw it up. For Kramnik to hold that against Danya is very bizarre. But I guess as the world champion he had never felt this way.

To summarise this entire video trilogy. Danya beat Kramnik with some nice tactics. Kramnik gets butthurt and makes an entire video series about why Danya has "strange eye movements" and is pessimistic with his own position when he commentates. Never watched Kramnik before but he comes across as an unpleasant person.
@Dude-ln8lm3 күн бұрын
I think 2:08 this is a really good line to understand Kramniks mind a bit more. "Yes, I'm the world champion. I understand something about chess." No, my guy, you are not the world champ anymore. I think he cant really accept the fact that hes just way out of his prime and there are a lot of people better than him.

it's once again obvious that Kramnik: 1) presents no evidence of his allegations; 2) has alarming levels of cognitive bias; 3) has never heard of the term cognitive bias; 4) must learn what that means in order to evolve as a human; He's also becoming a living reminder of why we should all exercise frequently, go outside, drink lots of water, eat salad, avoid drugs

I see what he means, there is a very distinct difference between his looking away to calculate where Danya often closes his eyes, and these quick glances at the same spot, especially if the spot isn't anything we know to be in use. That said, I don't think Danya is cheating. 🤷🏻♂️
@vidaes65032 күн бұрын
Kramnik devoting so much energy to go after how Danya is describing a position to his viewers using general feelings rather than long explanations about concrete, calculated lines IN A +1 BLITZ GAME AGAINST WESLEY SO, when the man was a walking meme for his inability to accurately dissect his classical games in post-mortems and his insanely overoptimistic evaluations of his positions before he became an "old man yells at clouds" meme is *chef's kiss*.

You can’t say that Kramnik’s or Anish’s candidate moves are just too advanced and that slightly weaker players would come up with others. The point is that Daniel’s rating is as high and higher than other super GMs so his analysis and candidate move selection and intuition should be on par with other super GMs. If it’s not, how is his rating this high? That is Kramniks point
@charliemanolakis8879Күн бұрын
