Kramnik is such a coward. He says he's not accusing Danya (of using an engine) but constantly refers to 'what is Danya looking at?' Doesn't have the balls to say what he really means, which isn't that surprising considering his accusations are completely baseless. Kramnik is a coward and a bully and it's time he was held accountable by FIDE.

Not crazy at all if you ask many super GMs and non of them even consider it as a move! Some moves makes zero sense to a human. I am assure you that even Magnus himself would never consider Bc8 there. Like it makes zero sense this move. GMs make only moves that have an idea behind them and make sense. To consider a move that can be proven beneficial in 20-30 moves ahead, THAT IS CRAZY! Sorry, only computers can see such moves. Then Danya goes on saying "Bc8 very interesting" but why??? I am a strong player myself and moving a bishop from an active position to a dead passive position without any plan makes zero sense. That is insanely suspicious if not straight cheating imho. Sometimes you play a "waiting move" and just move a piece to relative safety while waiting to see what the opponent does. You can't use players playing moves you wouldn't consider as proof of cheating, it's nonsense. And it's even more ridiculous when he didn't even play it. Clearly some players, depending on their play style, would consider it a move. Who cares? Like Kramnik has never considered a move that some other GMs wouldn't consider. It's nonsense. You'd have to be dumber than a rock to think that something like that means you're cheating. Proof that strength in chess and intelligence are not correlated.

I honestly think Danya is safe in that regard. He is already a well established big name in chess, did tons of commentary and also played strong in tournaments like speed and bullet chess championship. The chess world knows about Danyas integrity and wont suddenly turn on him, rather ridicule Kramnik for the attempt. Its much more severe if he accuses unknown young players that do not have tons of supporters to defend them....Kramnik at this point does more harm to the chess world than all cheaters combined.

Kramnik is using that comment to imply that Danya is checking an engine always not that he always plays engine moves. LMAOOOOOO he only showed few parts of the vid which makes him so obvious that he is cherry-picking to make danya looks bad and suspicious. The crazy part is if you watch his stream, he barely gets a huge advantage in middle game and he is only good always at time scramble which makes them good blitz player like hikaru, alireza, and some other 3100+ rated players. which is btw very counter-intuitive to what they accused him of because I think when you cheat you normally get a good position in the middle game but danya always having a tough position and always win when he got 20 seconds below which I think if he is looking at the engine, he will probably lose on time LMAO.

@@Marc-Tu Accusing semi-random people of cheating with no serious evidence is at least ethically dubious. When it comes to such important matters you should be responsible with what you believe (though obviously an ethics board shouldn't go after people for thought crime) and certainly with what you publicly state. People at best have to deal with internet assholes sicced on them through these accusations and at worst it could have serious ramifications for their career. When you do that to people you'd better be right, or at least had some reasonable grounds for doubts. This kind of stuff is why slander laws exist. That said, I don't know what FIDE can do about it exactly, or if a defamation case would actually go anywhere (where would it even be held?). Those are questions for a lawyer.

And it's not even a difficult move, it's literally one of 2 or 3 moves you'd ever consider playing in the position. Just because the number one move is very natural doesn't mean the second is difficult or unnatural. He thought he could trap the bishop and was looking for a way to do that. After black plays h6 and Bxc3 and g5, the bishop only has one way to escape. You have to cover e5, d6, and c7 to trap it. Bc8 covers e5 with the rook, can't cover the other 2 squares so he abandons the idea. If you sense tactical possibilities, of course you will ponder other moves that also improve the position (reposition bishop off bad diagonal, give the rook more scope on the e-file). The reason it's still the top 2 engine move is because it improves the position and doesn't exclude you playing h6 next.

I wonder, is a person who steals a thief no matter the situation to you? I wonder if you keep this same energy 24/7 or if you might empathize with someone who is clearly suffering from mental illness. Again, Eric said it, "if he's just a chess player then who are you?" Eric wouldn't watch this video if it was CodySteins7255. I think it's interesting, I agree that this is a not-so-thinly-veiled accusation, but I think we have to acknowledge what mental illness can do to chess players. We've seen Bobby Fischer, the recent assault and battery in St. Louis, and I think Vlad is on a long slide down.

Kramnik just posted a video where Daniel uses an engine to analyze a game during the game, in the same spot where he always looks when Kramnik claims he's cheating. That's the one to react to (not that Daniel is actually a cheater, that idea is preposterous, he has zero signs of it compared to other players who we know did cheat).
@DarkSideChess
@DarkSideChess 4 күн бұрын
Yeah Danya has to respond to that one now. He did highlight this in his comments in that video and explained himself, but this gives Kramnik very good ammunition. He has to put in a 2nd camera now for all his TT games.

@@DarkSideChess it won't make any difference. the idea that kramnik could be convinced of anything besides he's cheating is nonsense. he's already made up his mind. and the game in question was during one of his speedruns that he does not tt. nothing daniel does will get any of this to go away quite frankly outside of if he just quits chess all together.

@@JB-uw8ir If Danya turns on a 2nd camera and continues to perform online at a 3100 - 3200 level, then Kramnik will have to do some complicated mental gymnastics to accuse him ever again. But as of now this video gives him some great ammunition to question Danya's level.

I find i funny that Kramnik says that he has a lot of material, enough to make a 4 part series and it is basically just a couple handpicked good Danya games where he nitpicks every little twitch Naro makes. Oh my, he looks somewhere else, almost as if he was calculating and when he is done he looks back and plays a move based on what he calculated. This behaviour is absurd, a human person should not behave in such a childish way.

I think he means “should be possible to scrutinize anyone”, which itself is reasonable. Albeit, he reckoned Hikaru’s 100-win streak against a master was suspicious… so when Kramnik invokes “can inspect anyone”, it’s a cover to allow him to accuse anyone. His videos really aren’t careful/reasonable enough for him to be as vocal as he is.
