Loved you sharing this! It would be so fun if you did a video where you challenged yourself with a re-edit of this old footage

I cried... from laughter 😂😂 lidding aside, you have gone a long ways. we all have to start from something right? im sure you're happy, you didn't stop right there, you kept going, and learning..now teaching, because you are confident, you're that good.

im about to have my first wedding video next week and im getting nervous and stressed out. so glad to see this

Haha this is great! My first was in 2014 with a little dad cam, Panasonic. But hey, it shot 1080p @60fps so slow motion was a thing! lol. Honestly really cool to see you post this. I have gone back to watch my first film a couple of times and I have to laugh through most of it, but super cool to see your progress! And yes, when I got my 70D after that wedding, RACK FOCUS TIME for me too 😂😂😂
@WaywardNorth4 ай бұрын
Rack focus was like an addiction back then. I had to FORCE myself to stop it lol Thanks so much! It was really fun taking a trip down memory lane. Always encouraging to see where you started to where you are now and see the dramatic improvements!

I also shot my first wedding film in 2013 and can share in your pain. I still have friends that claim that first video is their favorite so it must have been okay! But it's fun to look back and see how far you've grown. Love the content, keep it up.

@@langilledylan thanks so much! I totally agree - it’s so encouraging and a great reminder that we all start somewhere and through practice, hard work, and determination you can get to where you want to be. I’m still a work in progress ;)

You were a brave soul to shoot handheld on your first wedding film. Lol! I locked down my cameras on tripods on my first wedding film and just panned and zoomed everything.
@WaywardNorth4 ай бұрын
Haha yeah looking back I wish I had used tripods but I was just figuring it all out. Only had enough for a camera, lens, and on camera mic at the time lol

Love that typeface and interviewees staring out of frame 😂 I shot my first film two weeks ago, though it was odd because the couple categorically refused to have any prep footage 😅 So I’m kind of floundering, but I did get a little bit of broll and dancing footage. We shall see!

Haha I know - its so funny to see the things I did back then. Im sure in 20 years ill look back on my films now and feel the same way. Im sure your film will turn out beautifully!

Dude. 😅 my favorite is the rug down the aisle. We all have things we’ve done that we cringe but it’s brave and honestly just cool of you to show us. I will say, you can tell that you good bones though!
