I love minimalist horror. I'm not a game designer at all, but made a VR game with a friend few years back, and nothing moves, nothing attacks, our goal was to make an escape room game that was just creepy atmosphere with decent lighting/shadows. People would freak out and get scared to move to certain areas of rooms for quite a while, even though nothing ever jumps or moves at you. It's that tension that I love, just feeling like something could be behind you, or that feeling where you don't want to put your hand in a dark place. Unlike Lixian's wonderful game, ours was sadly very buggy (again, we had never made a game before lol, and it was in Unity engine, lol). We do want to rebuild in Unreal 5 fully, but will probably never have the time. Awesome game, Lixian, glad people have been supporting your projects!!

Honestly one of the funniest/most adorable things my wife does when she gets excited or scared, she's Puerto Rican. Nothing is funnier than when she gets hit with a jumpscare and shouts "MALDITA SEA!" at the top of her lungs. Also, it is called Code-Switching, and yes it is a treat to behold. It's how you know you hit a strong emotional chord with a bilingual person.

The reason the very dead ending jumpscare is so effective is that you see the flickering light in the next room so you prepare yourself for something to happen in the next room, but the jumpscare is just a bit beforehand so it happens right before you begin to brace yourself

It's the same chaotic energy that they seem to share, the same style of commentary and humor, its great!
