Love this one! Floor's ability to sustain a note is phenomenal. Emppu seems to get forgotten in the adoration of Floor and Marco, but he really is so talented.

Some asshats may critizise him by saying he doesn't play ultra-fast or super-technical, but those people forget all about conveying feeling, and that is something his solos have pleeeenty of :D

I love the Hobbit for his comedic value. After all, why play live if you don't have fun? Emppu brings out the smiles and skills of everyone to their fullest, simply because he puts smiles on faces. There is no value that can be placed on that.

And don`t forget. Most of the metal bands have two guitar players. Emppu is the man for everything on the guitar. And nobody miss something. He makes a great job on his instrument.

Floor's voice, I've discovered, has a way to get through to hit a person's emotional center. No matter what walls a person has built up, Floor tears them down and reminds us all of what makes us human.

They were in Tampa in 2018!!! I did not discover them until a few months ago! I now would crawl to Tampa from Zephyrhills on my knees to see them! Yes they are AWESOME!!!!!!!!!

They'll release a new album early next year and likely start the world tour right after that! They btw started their 2 previous tours from the US, so you'll probably have a chance to see them very soon

What did you think of her performance? I think one of the reasons why this song is recommended so often is the energy she brings to the stage here, and the warrior queen aura she has. I feel that this is best exemplified not by the windmilling and neither by the "light the fire, feast" part, but just before that when she sings "wahoohoo..." with her wingspan gesture. That is when you can see Tuomas smile like the gingerbread man because he takes such joy from the charisma with which his song is performed; and then she lets go, and the audience goes crazy. That is control.

@@Immortall1408 Yeah, switch -- on and she's there. I assume you've seen that Dutch documentary with her parents. I remember there's a brief scene just before she enters the stage, where she's completely still, eyes closed, and then -- action.

@@oliphant2848 Yes, I watched this documentary. Although, I suspect that adrenaline was rushing through her body, waiting there on a cue to run out. I mean they showed in this documentary how everything was prepared and planned - nearly every step. I think Floor also mentioned that she didn´t look at her parents too much, because she felt she would have got too emotional and that is not the best thing in the middle of a concert.

They usually do 3 shows in Florida on their tours (at lest the last 4) ... Orlando, Tampa, and Ft Lauderdale/Miami. Used to live in FLL and saw them 4 times.

That part of (let's go) riding with the horses is maybe the best section of Nightwish songs - always so energizing. This is not my #1 fav. of Nightwish, but that part is a joyride.

After their next release they will do in North American tour like they always do. They always go to Florida, typically Orlando Fort Lauderdale I think they may have done Miami once. But anyway, I saw them April 17th no XVIII a 2017 in Memphis Tennessee and they played for two straight hours without a break and did not miss a note. They are the best live band I have ever seen in my entire life and I think that they are the best band on this damn Planet by far. Take care my brother

Great reaction as always, but one woudn't expect anything less with Nightwish.
