Man, I love watching you appreciate music. While I can obviously love music on my own, hearing you walk through some of my favorite music just makes me love it more. I genuinely believe music is literally magic and a large part of that is the shared experience. There's some sort of bond that happens when people see each other experience the same joy from music. I owe some of my best friendships to this experience. This is why your channel is successful.

Old TDWP is definitely nostalgic and fun, but they’ve come VERY far since then, The Act, their previous album, is sooooo cool and unique and inventive. It’s haunting, emotional, abstract. Their iconic Zombie EP from back in the day still holds up as an all-time great metalcore release, but their follow up ep’s Space EP and ZII, are huge leaps forward as far as songwriting, production, and arrangement. If you check them out, Zombie for old school heaviness, Space EP for cool atmosphere and production, The Act for just a masterpiece of what i might call post-metalcore, and ZII for a super enjoyable metalcore release that gives you everything you could want in one.

Thank you so much for finally reacting to TDWP 😍 I‘ve requested „Born to lose“ since summer of last year and now I know why you didn’t touch on that 😉 They are truly one of my favorite bands! „Sacrifice“ is just awesome and I‘m glad you liked it! If you’re not familiar with their Zombie EP I highly recommend to give it a listen - especially the Song „Outnumbered“. In regards to Sleep Token: I‘m sooo jealous you’re going to see them live! Can’t imagine how impactful it must be to listen and feel their music rare and close up. „Atlantic“ might be a song you wanna do a reaction, it‘s my current favorite of them and I just can’t stop listening to it 😄 Get well and hope to see you again soon 😊

Speaking of the rare thing of stumbling over a new band that you really get hooked by. That was me very recently hearing The Warning on a vocal coach react stream on Twitch and speaking of cassette tapes I wanted to get some records on vinyl but they were prohibitively expensive so I ended up recording one of their live shows to cassette and drawing the band logo with a ballpoint pen like the old days just to have something (also my winter car has a tape deck) 😊

TDWP has implemented a lot of vocal arrangement on their recent work. Early stuff just has traditional high/low scream layer into big loud chorus; but they’ve done a cool mix of screams and cleans since then, the higher scream layered with the low/mellow clean especially which really grabs attention. Their album The Act from 2019 has so much of that and its fun to listen to multiple times and vibe with a certain layer.

I've stuck by this band probably longer than any other act in music, first heard then when Dogs Can Grow Beards was released, and they've remained one of the most creative and influential acts in metalcore through a largely dull decade in the genre. If you haven't checked out "The Act" or "Zombie EP 2" then you're missing out. They've put out some of their best work in recent years and they're just as active in churning out new material as they've ever been

When someone shares the same taste in music they already feel like a friend, not a stranger, so I joyfully listened to your analysis! ...what you said in one of the Landmvrks reacts really got to me. Everytime you explain how all parts come together, how you cherish the work and effort and illuminate how several people made up their minds behind every building breakdown, riff and rhythm ...etc. Man, this is so awesome. I am listening with more awareness from now on then I already have and it's great to have it explained by someone who's obviously so into it. I really do feel smarter than before. Mission accomplished. :D So, hope you’re fine and keep up the great work! Great to have you back doing reactions again. Havent heard about this band, but i really liked this one. I will definetly check out their older songs. I also got a suggestion for you, Lucid Awakening with their song Epiphany. So much talent in this band, and quite interesting production. Think you would like tid one 👍Little info: Taking influence from the modern titans of prog metal such as Dream Theater, BTBAM, Haken and The Contortionist, ‘Epiphany’ ushers in a new era for the band, introducing vocals to the sound. The foundations for this song were laid just under a decade ago, but evolved throughout the years as the band moved toward a fully-realized 6-piece, reaching completion with the addition of Heyden Smith’s growls, croons, belts and doo-wops all over the dynamic and dark, yet hopeful, prog metal epic. The song is as fluid in structure as it is in its lyrical content, as it meditates on finding meaning in our mortality through a seemingly chaotic existence. It prods at the ever-present balance between finding an overarching purpose in life (the ‘Epiphany’) while still opening one’s self to the ebb and flow.

Jeremy and mike said they didn’t know what their sound was gonna be like since they were the only OG members of the band. But this song and their last EP show that they found their sound as a band. Their last album was more soft but the Zombie ep ll and sacrifice have a mix of their soft side (chorus) and the heavier stuff they started making recently with down tuned guitars.

Yoooo Chase, nice to see you back. As always great video. There is still no reactor, at least for me, who is more entertaining to watch than you are. I mean yeah, nic nocturnal is funny as hell, but your knowledge and your thinking about the music helps me so much more to understand and to love the music. It sometimes feels like opening up a third eye or something, its just awesome to listen to you. And if you want to get into some more the devil wears prada, i think now is the best time for it. 2019 they released a full album (the act), which has a quite interesting sound imo and they also dropped an EP a few month back called ZII, which is absolutely astonishing. So if you want to do another reaction to them, I really would recommend to you NORA, CONTAGION or FORLORN. Im obsessed with all of them. I hope you get well soon.
