The people are applauding because this was a one take recording in a club with a live band and audience, not in a recording studio.

There's a video of her playing The Beatles 'Come Together' at a gig aged 4..

That is a difficult piece with an irregular time signature. I have seen it, and she killed it. At least for someone being 4. It was not perfect. But ... at 7 she would have killed it perfect, or maybe at 5 or 6.

Yoyoka is THE best. Congrats to her for getting her visa to the USA. I look forward to watching her career. Show em how to do it Yoyoka.

This cover is one of my top 5 of hers. You can check so many things with just this song. Age 7, live, with a live band, tricky piece, great limb independence, awesome phrasing on the solo part, advance stick control, etc. But the most amazing of it all is the humbleness. She doesn’t have a clue how good she really was/is. Like just another piece she nailed. And just happy that people enjoyed it and was having fun. She loves what she does and it shows even at such a young age. Thanks again for the reaction. I still think you should react to Smoky, I think she was younger. 👍🏼✌🏼🤘🏼

Yoyoka was alrady on the horizon when she did a cover of Senri's Onyx. This is the song that put her on the map in Japan.

Just to think, this was in a club, with a band in front of a live audience. And she had been playing live for two years at this point!

Great reaction again, really amazing Yoyoka, she plays this not easy song in such a relaxed way and on top of that looks around nonchalantly like it's natural to play this complex song. Anyway, she only obeys her own rules with her extraordinary talent.

This Phenomenal drummer and wonderfully amazing young lady seemingly has no ego and has a lovable quirky personality. 💕 loved you comments especially about how the music just seems to flow through her . She becomes one with the music.🥰

What’s amazing to me is that she is so relaxed, looking around like, yeah, just another night in the club. 😄

Yes, she has got something else. She is not only mechanically good. She knows music. She understands how it works. She IS this bands drummer. They rely on her keeping the pace for them. They are hers now.

Great reaction as always, I have alluded before the she clearly gets into your soul like all her fans, and YOYOKA most definitely has ‘it’ or X factor etc. beyond her raw talent. As Andy Rooney says in his reaction to this performance “you’re not allowed to do this at 7” . Wave Potter and others I think have done a reaction to this along with Senri’s original. Another remarkable thing is Senri wrote this piece at 17 if memory serves. This performance and thus one at age 5/6 kzbin.info/www/bejne/bXTTpmuwZaekd6c are ones I watch at least once a week, more if I am not having a good week. Always looking forward to your next reaction as you journey down the YOYOKA rabbit hole!
