Your video is very informative. I had this implant put in (in Florida) and had to have it removed because of problems with the battery coming loose. Have you heard of the Reactive8 stimulator breaking while being removed? I still have several pieces that were left in my spine when mine was removed. My surgeon brushed it off as no big deal that he left metal shards along my spine. Do you know of a surgeon who might be qualified to remove these pieces? I messaged the company but have never received a response. Thank you.

I am not aware of anything like that. Unfortunately I cannot comment on specific medical details on this platform

Sir, fantastic video! I’m hoping to get this process done here at BARTs hospital London under the care of Dr Metha. Question: can I play sports with this device, go swimming and also if this is a battery pack what is life span and how do you control the pain once this device has been inserted?
@DrEdwardSRubinАй бұрын
I normally tell patient's to wait 6 weeks before playing sports to minimize chance of the leads dislodging

Hi Doctor .. I have low back and mulit-level Facet Arthrosis however is it more moderate at the L5- S1 and currently got my ESI it is day 9. I know they told to give it about 2 weeks. I'm still feeling pain and some down my leg. It comes in waves. My pain management doctor has talked to me about this device. And mentioned it again on my follow up. My question is .. would this aggravate Fibromyalgia? I have that also untop of the Arthrosis. I am just so sick of this. I m tired of being in pain. Im now back on pain meds and taking muslce relaxers because I get so stiff and in pain. I just want my life back. I want to lift weights again , I want to be fit again. Be able work , sleep without so much pain. Also is this device covered by most inurance companies? Thank you.

It should not have any negative effect on fibromyalgia

I have The spinal cord stimulator in my back already and my doctor is talking restorative stimulator can be in your back together
@DrEdwardSRubin Жыл бұрын
You can have both. I would wait 6 mo in between before moving to another therapy

What kind of metal is this made of? Do you know?
@DrEdwardSRubinАй бұрын
Most of these devices are made of titanium. But I would defer to the manufacturer on that one

What lead style do you think is better for a broader width of multifidus coverage, SPRINT’s or reactiv8’s? Because they are currently both on label for motor stimulation.
@DrEdwardSRubinАй бұрын
I like both, but Reactiv8 is specifically engineered to get multifidus stimulation
@BradLessyАй бұрын
@@DrEdwardSRubin have you ever used sprint for motor stimulation? My doctor and I are currently between Nalu and sprint targeting multifidus stimulation in the neck.

Can you have the scs and restorative stimulator work together

Can this be implanted for multifidus dysfunction at the l5s1 level? Thank you
@DrEdwardSRubin Жыл бұрын
The entire mutifidus muscle can be stimulated from L3. so it would cover down to L5.

@@DrEdwardSRubinis this because the lumbar multifidus is polysegmentally innervated? Is this also the case for the neck multifidus?

How long will I be off work?
@DrEdwardSRubinАй бұрын
Patients can go back to work in 1-2 days if they have a desk job. Manual labor type jobs may require 6 weeks before cleared for full activity

Yes you can have both at the same time. Only catch is you will have two batteries under the skin. Good news with restorative is that you do not need to charge the battery
