This looks good but our boy would be barking, lunging and doing everything he could to get at the other dog. Not even hearing any command or seeing any treat. Our full attention is focused on him not getting away. What would you suggest. Without any triggers around he is mostly obedient and has good recall.

Dhameer Govind - That’s not the point. I’d need to be like 250 yards away, if I was that close I’d have no chance. My dog is super reactive. However, I can still use this technique at my dog’s distance. Gradually we will get closer and by then my dog will know the drill. Don’t be closed minded. There’s always a takeaway if you look for it.

Damn I just can't do the choke chain thing. I can't bring myself to. My 8.5 month old blue heeler uses a harness & even a collar doesn't deter him from near strangulation. Idk what I'm gonna do. I love him so much, but walks have turned into my hell. Me: "dog!", "car!", "bird!", "squirrel!" - anything with wheels! He's strong af too for a 23 pound puppy - he looks like an angry gremlin pulling me down the street
