I remember the year. 1974. I had just gone through my first break up and heard this play on the radio a few days later. Stuck in my mind ever since.

Nazareth also did a cover...the original was by the Everly brothers 14 years before Nazareth in 1960... Nazareth did it in 1974... however Nazareth made it famous

The original version was by the Everly Brothers. Nazareth made it popular.

Manny Charlton was the lead guitarist. He left the band in the 1990’s or there about and released several solo albums. Mostly instrumental if I remember correctly. I have them. 🙂

The Everly Brothers did the original version. Roy Orbison did a covere of it before Nazareth. This one got all the air play which made it the most popular.

The Everly Brothers recorded this song in 1961 on their album, "A Date with the Everly Brothers." Many artists have recorded it.

Love Hurts was played at every high school dance. Once the intro began, there were about 5 seconds of teenagers crossing the dance floor at the same time to get their partner. I need a time machine. 😞

This is considered by many as the very FIRST Power Ballad. I can see it. 🤘Though they didn’t write this song, Nazareth wrote many beautiful ballads. Some of the best!
