We can finally understand why Wu was so reluctant to let the ninja get caught up in the green ninja project back in season 1, it’s because he didn’t want the four of them to end up turning out like Morro

Ronin had actually made his first introduction in a video game called "Shadow of Ronin" as the main villain. However, that game is ultimately non-canon, so it's just said that the Ninja just had beef with him after he abandoned them in an unseen mission when they needed his help or something like that.

The game is canon butttt if you truly play it you can see the ninja say it as story the whole gameplay so yes there some fake moment but some ture Next ep you see kai said to him (you left us in a ...) In game he do run and left them in the volcano so as i said it canon

Fun fact: Morro can actually be seen as some form of character foil for Kai if the latter had never grown over his former obsession to be the Green Ninja, which makes their feud in this season more fitting.

Morrow definitely reminds me of Tai Lung from the Kung Fu Panda movies as both were trained and raised by their masters (Wu/Shifu) who saw their pupils as surrogate son's, with so much potential and taught to believe they are destined for greatness (i.e. The Green Ninja or the Dragon Warrior) but when denied the desire for said legendary title corrupted them and turned them against their masters. Nya also becoming the Water Ninja was also one of the best character decisions the show ever made as this development made Nya such a three dimensional character with a lot more individuality

When Morro was able to shoot green lightning in this episode, it wasn't normal lightning, but rather a manifestation of Lloyd's Energy and Morro's ghost power. Fun fact: Morro shares similarities with several characters, both in Ninjago and other franchises: - Morro and Kai both had an obsession to become the Green Ninja. Unlike Kai, however, Morro had a vicious desire, which led him to crave vengeance to destroy Lloyd, whereas Kai learned his destiny was to protect Lloyd and help train him to reach his full potential. - Morro is similar in appearance to Kylo Ren from Star Wars, as both characters were first introduced in 2015 and have the same hairpiece for their LEGO Minifigures. - Morro's character arc bears resemblance to Tai Lung, the main antagonist of the first Kung Fu Panda movie. Both were former students of their respective series' main martial arts teachers and were trained by said teachers to become legendary warriors (the Dragon Warrior for Kung Fu Panda, the Green Ninja for Ninjago). But they ended up being rejected from the roles due to their hearts being too negative and felt wronged by this decision, choosing to seek out vengeance. - Morro is similar to the Reverse Flash from DC Comics, as they both originally wanted to be the main hero persona (the Green Ninja and The Flash respectively) only to realize they could never be this, which led them to go down a dark path and become an enemy of the hero, trying to defeat the hero to prove himself better than him.

Just so you know, Ronan is from a Ninjago video game. The events of the game were set between tournament of elements and possession. The series doesn’t do the best job of explaining that, but I thought I would just add some context.

Something interesting that kinda foreshadows Nya being a master of water, back in the pilot in their blacksmith shop, Nya was the one who cooled the sword down correctly with water, after Kai heated it up. I doubt it was intentional, seeing as they meant to end the series earlier, but it’s neat

1:53: This confused people when it came out but the reason why Morro can use Green Lightning is because he combined his Wind with Lloyd's Energy 6:18: I don't think it was ever properly explained but the Cursed Realm is essentially the Ninjago equivalent of Hell 8:00: Ronin was a character introduced in the 3DS/Vita game, Shadow of Ronin, the game was supposed to be canon but they rejected it because it took too many liberties, the only thing canon about the game is that it reveals Ronin was the one who kidnapped Zane and brought him to Chen's Island

Ronin is the guy who kidnapped Zane and pixal after rebooted and sold them over to Chen. It isn’t ever explained in the show, but it’s clear that the ninja know him from a game called Shadow of Ronin, which is considered canon.

Morro was designed specifically as a Kai Rival in mind as well to help Kai get through his jealousy he hanged on for so long because he sees himself in Morro and doesn’t want to become consumed in jealousy

Did you notice anything? In the scene where Wu puts the golden weapons on Morro, Kai's flaming sword is not there. Just a normal golden sword. Now many say that was a mistake but one of the higher ups at Ninjago said that Wu may have switched weapons since he saw how extreme Morro was getting. Maybe it was a mistake but they made a story out of it. Which is incredibly exciting. Morro's character in general is very deep.. I mean he is just a child, died as a child, who wants the respect and recognition of his master.. The only father figure he ever had. But this theory gives it a completely different weight. This means that Morro was probably actually the green ninja, but since he died the fate was changed. Or not? At least we learn more about Morro and fate later. Which gives the theory even more excitement. This truly is the Golden Age of Ninjago. Seasons 4 and 5 are simply the GOATS

Ronin was a character introduced in the videogame that takes place between Seasons 4 and 5. All you need to know is that he's a sleazy bounty hunter / professional thief who once worked for Master Chen; he's the one who kidnapped Zane and Pixal after Season 3.

I should explain this because it’s never properly explained how but the Cursed Realm is essentially Ninjago’s H-E-🏒🏒 and you go there if you done something bad or wicked. It doesn’t matter weather or not your banished, sent, or cursed there. If you are deemed wicked or evil when you die you end up there and forced to be forever cursed remaining as a ghost to wander the place.

To be fair, if you were given the idea you were to become the green ninja only to find out that you weren’t, I’m sure most people would be pretty pissed as well. I’m not saying what Morro, whom if you take one R out of his name is a DBS villains name, does throughout the season but I am saying I can understand his hatred anger and resentment plus his need to prove he’s the best. I used to be like that at the dojo because this one Sensei kept feeding my ego, but during sparring I realized that while yes I am really good, I’ve been a martial artist for ten years, I’m not the best. Personally I don’t think teachers should feed their students’ egos because they can turn into monsters, but that’s in very rare and extreme cases
