'Ode to a Schwift and a Sleep Timer' At early hours, and hours of late, I turn my pages, shift my sides. I have been known to insomniate, consulted drugs and sleeping guides. Now, I rest amid a river-runnel, whose channels in their bastard streams flow (save for songs of secret tunnels), down the winter-crypt of dreams. When I war on each synaptic cleft, I toss and turn, dream-bereft blue light, blue mood! Bluetoothing dank dragon-rambling’s soothing. I pause this day a bit to pen My amazement as a rhyme: When I tell my tap-box: ‘make it ten’, I never make the time. The soliloquies somnifacent their weighted-blanket barbitone, whether-not for that are meant, can turn this dragon into stone.

I really liked that poem about the violet, to me it seemed like maybe the author went out to pick it or see it closer but it looked different and only had it's effervescent momentary beauty when seen for that first time from the distance through their window. Perhaps while looking for it, they simply didn't recognise it because though it likely hadn't changed their perspective of it had.

With new years I saw it being more about the renewal of nature; the "the sun is falling apart" as the opposite of the sun falling It falls in the winter, gets darker earlier etc Sun is falling apart, rays start showing once again Bleak mood but hope for the future

I remember finding a podcast ages ago called "OMG WTF Bible" or something along those lines, was basically a Jewish comedian and scholar analysing the Bible/Torah. Was pretty interesting but I stopped listening after a dozen or so episodes. No idea if it's still around. I'm speaking as an atheist here but it's one of those things where I like the historical and literary analysis of what it's actually saying. There was a lot of analysis along the lines of "this is traditionally translated as X but could also fairly plausibly mean Y or Z from the little evidence we have", which was always interesting, along with plenty of having fun with some of the absurdities and contradictions found in it.

The Apocrypals podcast is a bit like that, two atheists going fairly nitty-gritty, but also doing what you'd expect from atheists podcasting about the bible. 😅
