Society sees the markers of life as you are born, get married, and die. No young girl wants to be single. I always felt bad when my nieces would ask why I didn't have a boyfriend or why I wasn't married. I didn't know how to respond and felt like "I don't know, I guess this is God's will for me right now" was a bad answer. Now that I'm 50 and officially a spinster, it is refreshing to be reminded that the Bible says it's better to be single. I now see that God protected me from a lot by keeping me single and child- free. I could never physically or emotionally handle being in a relationship or having kids. Aside from feeling like I'm the embodiment of every young girl's worst nightmare, I am super thankful to be single. May I be and do all God has enabled me to do.

WOW CADA! What a perspective. And might I add, a BIBLICAL GOOD HONORING perspective! Thanks so much for this comment and really more than a comment, an inspiring WORD. Preach sistah! Jesus, thank you so much for Cada, your daughter. Father help her to continue to find her worth, value and wholeness in you! Thank you for how your spirit speaks to her and how she is able to speak to others who are going through what she has and is going through. My prayer Lord is that you would honor her with her obedience and her trusting in you. In Jesus name. Amen!

Appreciate Video clip! Forgive me for the intrusion, I would love your initial thoughts. Have you researched - Proutklarton Mind Instructor Plan (probably on Google)? It is an awesome exclusive product for Improving your life minus the normal expense. Ive heard some decent things about it and my friend after many years got astronomical results with it.

Great point fellas. My thing is as a single man I go to a church building too learn more about God the lord Jesus Christ. Less than going to a church building trying too fit in. If I make friends or find a wife that’s great! But if I don’t least I’m gaining a closer walk with God. I had a friendship I felt like I’d be better off without a friend than too he stuck with a person claiming to be a friend I can’t have fun enjoy life with and some married couples experience the same thing. A friend or a wife is supposed to make your life enjoyable, not miserable

Yeah I am going to watch this again, but I can for sure say that marriage will not fix you. Also, when your friends get in a relationship or married, and if you are still single, you will be forgotten. Your married friends will not really care or be around you. He did say do not forget about your single friends, but it happens and he would not have had to say that if that did not actually happen. Singles are the forgotten people of the church.

If your married friends will not really care or be around you, it shows that they are not your true friends. End of story. Married people tend to be smug and stuck-up for being married, and think that they are more successful and complete, just because they are married. And of course, they think that singles, especially women, are all bitter individuals just because we do not have what they have. One really does have to be strong when one is single. What is offensive is how some hyper-conservatives say that women should not be strong women, causing many single women who are already struggling with singleness to be even more lonely, upset and isolated.

I couldn't finish this. Parts of it were very good, such as the reminder to put Jesus Christ first and the rest will come after. But there were so many Evangelical cliches, filtered through a California cultureset. Hope someone else will benefit, but I lost steam part way through.

Unfortunately the church has become part of the problem. This video is so typical of the average singles talk today. How can we convince you to stay single with a smile on your face ? How can we talk you into believing staying single will be a satisfying life ? If you feel called to singleness good for you! There are too many people who belong in a marriage and will never do well in life single. We also need people who can speak to the fact that long term singleness can hurt you and do you harm ! When you get old and have never been married you will realize being single is not easier than being married different yes but not easier. Every time I see one of these singles videos I always feel worse for having watched it.

This sounds like they're trying to convince themselves that wanting somebody is bad. Allow yourself to need somebody and want to be needed.

I think the point here is that the seeking should not be for others - a partners - but for God. Our main focus should always, even in marriage, is to seek God and His righteousness. It is not villainizing marriage, but being real about what we are actually called to do. I think people who are single have a tremendous gift of time and making that clear and combatting the narrative that marriage is the end goal is wonderful! Signed, a single Christian woman choosing to seek God over man in this season.

Marriage should be two complete persons in Christ who have a purposefully fulfilling single life coming together to share companionship walking the rest of their life with God. So a single person needs to first find purpose and be happy. I as a single person organise hygiene outreaches for communities using that as means of evangelism bringing folks to church. I give talks, bible, devotionals and sanitary pads to girls. Do you know how fulfilling that is. In doing your call, God sends you the perfect mate who won't distract or despise you for what you are or do.

yeah, I was thinking the same thing, but it might be that they are really good friends to where they look at each other like brother and sister. The reason why I say this is because I have been in this position. Everyone thought that me and one of my friends should have been dating, but she looked at me more like a brother than someone to date.

@@christieatuhbruh wish I could say I’m a 37 year old Virgin. I found out sex is easy too get if you give the right gifts or if the price is right. Than finding truelove commitment someone too share life with. I may never get married but my flesh says if you never get married least you experienced what most guys got on their honeymoon night. Since I’m not apart of this world anymore I left that behind it’s no that I can’t find a girlfriend or wife it’s I don’t want casual sex

Troubles are only as troublesome as you take them seriously. Relax in God, let him take the wheels. When folks do the word - seek you first the kingdom and its expansion and every other thing shall be added to you - they focus on God and on others and see less of their own problems, before you know it the so called problem gets solved and disappears
