Great informative video as always. I have big issues with trying to brighten in color correction. It always gets too grainy so my interior shots are very dark most of the time. Unless the house has really good lighting.

One question I have is you made your proxies from mostly 30fps footage and then you later interpreted your clips to 23.8fps. How do the proxies and interpret clips match up on your final output and music?

You don’t need to! They’re just used as lower res video previews while editing and the program will export applying effects and edits to your full res footage 👍👍

Yes! I mostly use the RF to EF adapter with the VND in it. But tiffen, polarpro and hoya are good on lens VNDs too. Typically don’t need a ton of ND because I shoot exteriors at higher frame rates.

Thanks !! Excited for you. Awesome setup. I think you’ll probably find that you need a wider lenssince you have a cropped sensor camera for most cases (kinda industry standard to have superwide) . Lots of used 11-16 ish range lenses out there or 12mm for good prices though !

How do you copy those Colograding Settings? First you choose your LUTs and the how do you copy them to next video part. I just shot on my Sony a6400, in 4K in cine4 and think if I should have done in log.

Hey! You should be able to just highlight them and copy (ctrl+c or edit-copy) in the effects tab and then paste it onto the next one or all the following ones (ctrl+v or edit-paste). Log is great but varies from camera to camera, I’d recommend running some test footage in different formats to see what works best for you with your camera.

Do you ever speed ramp you clips when doing real estate? If so, are there any problems since you interpreted the footage to 23.98 therefore causing premiere to have to interpolate the clips to make them quicker or slower.

Yes! Not really any issues. Usually if I’m speed ramping they will be a fast to slow (or real-time to slow mo) so plenty of frames to work with. If it’s a big speed ramp it helps to add motion blur during the movement to make it look smoother though

@@TaylorBrownPhotoVideo right, however if you’re speed ramping from normal time to slow then you must’ve not interpreted the footage to slow mo already, therefore skipping the step you mentioned in the video

Right. Either way works! If you’re going from an already “interpreted” clip from 60-23.98 you could just do the reverse and speed it up, up to to 250% (or 125% for 30fps) on the part you want to be faster and leave the rest as is.
