The bug disappearing is a mix of how insanely fast bugs can jump + some luck. The rocking back and forth is what many camouflaged bugs will do to mimic a leaf/twig swaying in the wind (doesnt really have the same effect when standing on concrete but they are not the smartest), so it was probably trying to hide from the kids recording it. It then just managed to jump inbetween two frames, insane but not unbelievable, I've had nearly that effect with baby jumping spiders on film before. Would especially make sense if the video was at 30 fps, idk what iphone defaults to

@@DelphineTheWorstBladeEver Harder to explain just because of how shit the video is, could be several things. What I initially thought was she just didn't cut the lemon all the way the first time, it seems like there is less resistance the second time she cuts it which makes me think the knife followed the same initial cut. Some others have pointed out that citrus fruit (oranges in particular) can almost sort of "fuse" back together, especially when she never fully separated the slices. It would be especially difficult to tell that they're just "fused" or stuck together from inside the bag, and once she takes it back out, we don't see her make more attempts to separate it before cutting it again. This sort of thing can happen with any sort of fresh produce, I guess people have just especially seen it in citrus?

Another case for the lemon (a cynical argument) is that because of quality, angle, and distance she could have just cut behind the lemon (pushed past her finger) and made the whole thing up to try and get clicks. Not necessarily super likely, but not impossible either.

@@PhaythGaming My thought is a mix of your argument and one of mine. Like lets say the scenario was that it just stuck together and she didn’t realize and thought it got uncut, and recut it. Then made the video sharing the bizarre experience. Once it blew up and got popular, once she was asked more detailed questions, I think that could be where she intentionally twisted it a bit. She could’ve been offered the explanation, realized that made more sense, but didn’t want to say something that would disprove her increasingly popular video. I think it’s a bit of a bizarre and specific scenario to entirely fabricate, you’d think if someone were to entirely make up something it’d be a little more exciting than cut lemon got uncut.

From the thumbnail and at 0:55, the reason why that cat looks like that is because it is a chimera, meaning that it is two embryos that fused together in the womb. It can be fairly noticeable in cats (like in this one) but it can also be quite hidden in others unless you have an understanding of typical cat patternings. It is very fascinating!

How can you be sure it's a chimera and not a strange tricolor cat? I am still learning about how cat colors and patterns work so I wouldn't know the difference, I would've just assumed it was a weird tortie or something lol

My glitch in the matrix: I'm in a shop and I'm at the till, a man is standing behind me with a parcel (the shop I'm at holds deliveries for ppl, it's quite common). I finish in the shop and I walk away from the till so the man gets to the front of the queue. I walk out the shop and the exact same man is running across the road to the shop. And he's also holding a parcel. He's wearing the same clothes and he's also holding a parcel the same size as the first one. So either they are two npcs with the same character models, or that man was a time traveller trying to stop his younger self from delivering the parcel.

There's another trippy tree I love called rainbow eucalyptus or Mindanao gum. It's native to the Philippines, Indonesia, and Papua New Guinea, and it's the only Eucalyptus species found naturally in the Northern Hemisphere. But what makes it special is it has bright multi-colored NEON bark! Unlike trees like oak, eucalyptus shed thin layers of bark through their lifetimes. And as the rainbow eucalyptus sheds, it shows a neon green inner layer that changes into different colors like reds and purples as they're exposed to air

So the location at 1:50 is May Fourth Square in Qingdao, China. Years ago I borrowed Mario Kart DS from a friend, it had his custom logo and profile name and everything. Had a blast with it and a few months late went to his house to hand it back and play some download play. When I gave hime the cartridge he was all "What? but I've got mine in my DS now?" cue us both turning our DSes on and seeing them load mario kart ds, both with his name in the profile, albeit different logos. Still have no idea how that happened, but he let me keep it so I was chuffed to get a free copy of the game!

long exposure is where you keep the camera's aperture (hole which allows light to hit the film) open over a long period of time, it lets you see the parts of the scene which are still and the parts which are moving

The trippy tree is a selectively bred variant of a redbud tree called 'Rising Sun' redbud. Probably one of my favorite trees, if you look up pictures of rising sun redbuds they all do the trippy leaf thing!

For the stationary advertising plane - those small planes fly pretty slow, often only a bit faster than a car on the highway and some can fly slower than that. If there’s a strong wind and you’re flying straight into it, it’s not too hard to get a surprising low ground speed (staying still relative to the ground but moving through the air fast enough to maintain lift). The pilot’s probably doing it on purpose to keep that ad banner in a specific area

Long exposure is when the shutter speed goes for such a long prolonged period of time to the point of where you can make all movement disappear leaving you with only stationary people objects in your photo.

The bird is a species of diving bird! The video is shit quality so I can't tell what it is, gut says some sort of grebe but I'm not 100% sure. Grebes and other diving birds are poor fliers due to requiring a denser body to properly dive, and some grebes are even entirely flightless, so their go to method of escape is diving.

for the cat one, i assume the camera was just funky and combining the pixels around the cat to it. if you stop at 10:31, on the tail you can see that only the surrounding horizontal lines only transfer through the tail. the vertical lines arent showing. no fucking clue why the vertical lines arent showing though. im just assuming shit
