I've been using Himalayan salt and have had good health and taste results but I'm going to try Real Salt. Overall I think Himalayan is fantastic.

Belgians are definitely not Dutch. A part of Belgium does speak a type of Dutch called Flemish but another speaks French so maybe hence the name French fries?

I prefer Real Salt, but the last few times I purchased the Real Salt Fine Ground, it was like crunching on sand. I couldn't stand how it felt on my teeth biting into sand! I had no choice but to switch to celtic grey salt.
@patriciacarlyle94563 жыл бұрын
I got sand every time in the Celtic Grey salt I was buying. Guess those are real minerals haha, but seriously I have a mortar and pestle and grind up my Real Salt to a powder with that to put in my salt shaker.

I thought that I was going to learn about the differences in the mineral and trace mineral content of all 3 salts. Also, a lot of the Himalayan salt sold cheap actually is very inferior as it is mined higher up in the mountains and not in the mineral rich base of the mountains. So to say that all Himalayan salt is good is just plain wrong. Also, I just watched a video posted by a nutritionist and she claims that she prefers the Celtic Sea Salt bcos it has 3 different types of Magnesium in it. She claims that both the Celtic & Himalayan salt contain about the same 82 mineral count. You can find her video on youtube under the title: 3011 - Osteoporosis / From Sickness to Health - Barbara O'Neill - KZbin

OMGaNEWBIE well just because someone posted something on KZbin doesn’t make it healthy or true! You need to think Ans decide with your own brain whether polonium and uranium from Pakistan is good for you or it’s simply put, cancer in a box.

@@TODOMATIO - I avoid Pink Himalayan like the plague. Most people don't do their "own" homework. They just parrot the misinformation they pick up form Marketing sites. I believe in calling them out on it, so that others who see their videos don't take it as Gospel. Sadly, most people don't do their own homework. Very sad indeed.

Hmmm ... the problem ... Real Salt vs Himalayan vs Celtic. Real Salt made in America needs to move out of America ... I no longer trust the American food Industry!
@williamwaha31934 жыл бұрын
Real Salt made in America needs to move out of America ---- Real Salt is not made anywhere , it is in fact mined ( dug out of the ground ) .... You don't have to 'Trust' the American Food Industry , Real Salt is Mined and then Ground up so it can be packaged , it's entire claim is that it is UNREFINED thus " REAL SALT" .

So you're recommending Real Salt for health reasons but are also recommending we eat it with French fries? Yeah obviously you're not selling it with people's health in mind so you might as well not mention the mineral content and use another reason if any. And why is the fact that the salt is American a motive to buy it?

Hi Tara-- You are very good at what you do, you sold me. So recently Im off the white table and onto sea salt. Temporarily though Im still on mortons sea salt until I receive my real salt. A local grocer has the himalayin version but I passed on it to get the Utah version. But more than what you state in this vid I like some of the other benefits of true sea salt. You can look up the many benefits but on that list one is that it helps you kick the sugar addiction and Ive already noticed that even with the mortons,, looking forward to the real salt.

Really easy explanation. Real Salt is my favorite. The tools used to harvest and grind the salt can be an issue. Ive been told RealSalt does not use any controversial metal tools like aluminum, nickle, etc.

At around 2:20 we talk about about how Himalayan salt comes from mines within the foothills of Pakistan. Not sure where you heard us say it was from the sea. An ancient, dried up sea bed, yes, but not from THE sea. We even provide a little map in the video of Pakistan. Hopefully that helps!
