TriggerMan you don't need to make any apologies for the camera. We got front, side, POV, and final completion shots. We good. : ) You're doing great, brother - especially considering that you've only been doing this for 3 weeks. Love the narration throughout the video while you explain everything you're doing. That goes double for when there's a problem and you work though it. While you can learn *some* things from seeing textbook processes and outcomes, you can only learn so much. That won't be of much help to you though, when something causes it to go off the rails, and you're in the middle of a job with no idea how to handle it. Learning how to deal with the problems that can occur, and then knowing how to handle them and overcome them takes knowledge and experience, and it's what becoming a master of something is all about. Thanks for sharing that knowledge and experience with us. Oh, and I'll bet that painter that papered up the windows was also a real di^^head too, huh? I was a Master Tech for years, and I learned that the guys that don't like being watched are also the guys that are usually very insecure about their work, OR they are trying to keep you from learning something from them because they perceive you as a threat. Same thing goes for questions. Anytime you hear something like, "You ask a lot of questions' or "Why do you always ask so many questions', or 'You know, you ask too many questions', it's because of one of two things - Either THEY don't know the answer, or they don't want YOU to know the answer. Someone who's good at what they do and confidant in their knowledge and ability won't do that, because if they don't already know the answer they're curious to find out too. That's a *real* professional. Keep it coming man. You're doing great.

It's Kapci. It's not really a no-name clear. It's just mostly marketed & sold overseas. They like the low VOC thick stuff so they tend to add reducer or warm it up in a bucket of hot water to help thin it before spraying
@embee1973 Жыл бұрын
Lol, you know your stuff sir. I also over the years have encountered painters that have been uncomfortable around me. That paper over the window story takes me back😂. Luckily I’ve had a lot of great painters that have taught me a lot over the years too. I’m spraying water base and had an issue dialling in my DV1s and spraying at lower PSI like 16 made my color matches slightly different, usually darker. Are you shooting solvent or water base? I’ve finally got the two DV1’s dialed in and I love them now as much as my Supernovas but it took me a while to get used to them. Thanks for the realness sir🫡
@thetriggerman954 Жыл бұрын

@embee1973 Жыл бұрын
@@thetriggerman954 I have the same complaint. I went from running around a vehicle with my Satas and Supernovas, to walking and sometimes crawling around a vehicle. Great gun, but for the amount I paid for it, and all the hype man’s were giving it before I bought it, I was disappointed. I’ve adjusted my spraying when I’m using it, and it does work great on blends, but ya both the clear and base gun don’t seem to lay out right without ALOT of effort. Keep up the good work, you make a brother want to grab a camera and start posting lol, maybe when I get some time. Stay blessed sir🙏🏿 Edit: I’m shooting at about 22psi wide open with a 3/4 fan 1.4 tip on the DV1 base gun for water base. If I squirt single stage for a solid color I switch to 1.4 tip and my pressure goes to 25psi. The gun seems to like that range. Just in case you ever have to squirt water base through it.

Kapci Egyptian paint with lifetime guarantee.. so I needed to spray white scoot and I am painting and there this spider webs coming out the paint like... my arms looked like I was a hairy guy 100. Eventually I added more thinners and it smoothed out. I went back to my kapci paint supplier and the owner son was not there. He had car crash.
