Omg I must learn more about Udupi cuisine. I love southern Indian cuisine but had it all lumped together in my mind as one cuisine. I cannot stand garlic and raw onions. I never cook with garlic, I feel ill when I smell raw garlic. So I definintely want to learn some of their recipes. I had my first udupam (?) the other day and it was delicious. I’m guessing that is from Udupi!

Hey Shweta, as usual an awesome capsule sized video! Would you consider capturing subtler aspects like women safety, friendliness of the locals, local travel options and also places for eating out that you couldn’t try (or tried but couldn’t fit into a video)! Trivia: The king of Udupi was asked to side with either Kaurav or Pandav but he instead volunteered to cook food for the warriors both sides alike! Every night post war, the warriors would devour Satvik pranic food made by the Master cooks of the royal house of Udupi! The quantity of food prepared each night was just enough to feed everyone with very less leftovers! This was due to The King of Udupi sending a plate of peanuts to Krishna every night and the peanuts left on the plate symbolised the warriors that would remain the next day! The king of Udupi offered the first morsel of food to Krishna as Prasad! Due to his service, Krishna blessed Udupi that there will never be a shortfall of food in Udupi and that it will act as the kitchen to the world and cooks to the world! Udupis till date are living upto the boon! Keep travelling!

Equally good if not better places around and within the temple complex like Rajashri (gojjambade), Anuradha (pathrode), vanishree (tovve), babbariya (idlies)... And finally the legendary churmuri in Chandru's cart bang opp to Mitra Samaj... This is incomplete video...

@bharathks88125 жыл бұрын
@@DheerajUdupi if I make one I will certainly make a complete one and not half baked one and upload on KZbin... The reason why such videos are frequented is to help the travellers... Had any research been done on the place the quality would've been better, but I guess mediocrity thrives and gets sympathised as well... The only information that was complete was with regards to Ocean Pearl and Wego, but then any hotel in Udupi is a min fare away in a rickshaw...
