I love old trucks. I have a 99 dodge 3500 dually V10 and a 2023 2500 6.4 Tradesman i ordered from the factory. All i can say is parts or payments. Some years a 20+ year old truck will cost you the yearly payments on a new one. New transmission, engine work, front end work whatever it is. Some years the old truck wont even cost you half the payments. The best part of the new ones are reliability. Not much guessing or wondering what will happen. That Peace of mind is priceless. I just watched your 20k mile review. Im just at that with my 23 Ram 2500. Its just been flawless. Cant say the same for my 25 year old truck haha. Thats my random rambling on the subject

Thanks for your comments. And yea you kinda nailed it with the cost - new trucks are less of a wild card though the payment is expensive. It’s nice knowing it’s pretty darn reliable and if something does go wrong, it’s not really my problem. Old trucks offer a more nostalgic experience that I feel more in tuned with because it is more visceral. I love the actual smell of older trucks (especially diesels), the noises they make, etc but neither one is cheap.

Man that is so true, I guess human nature is to want what we don’t have. Thanks for sharing a dose of reality with me! I plan on just keeping the 6.7 and running it for a while.
