Agreed. In this particular case I'm sure it was free because of the show, but for the rest of us here in America it just depend on if you have insurance or not and how good the insurance is. Funny thing is, polls since at least the eighties have shown that the vast majority of Americans want a national healthcare system. And we could do it too, but there are other forces that prevent this from happening: Mainly the lobbyists of the pharmaceutical and hospital industries (which spend more money than defense contractors and the tobacco industry combined).

American Healthcare cystem is just ridiculous.
@JustWasted3HoursHere11 ай бұрын
@@nosferatadentata965Yeah, it's ridiculous. And the worst part is that the people who are in a position to fix it are the same people who benefit by keeping things the way they are: politicians. They receive millions of dollars from lobbyists representing the healthcare industry each year. It's just legal bribery, and not mentioned in the Constitution so I'm amazed that the people haven't risen up to demand that the lobbying system be abolished. Poll after poll for many decades has shown that the vast majority of Americans want a national healthcare system, but every time it gets mentioned it gets shot down (mostly by Republicans who are the biggest recipients of lobbying money for healthcare).

Not necessarily. Free healthcare means your quality of healthcare suffers drastically, meaning you wouldn’t be able to get this level of care or treatment without waiting on a long list for several years that will only get bigger as time goes on. On paper free healthcare sounds great but in practice it’s an absolute nightmare. My dad had a hernia for several years and couldn’t get it treated because of our healthcare system in the UK, sure it’s free but what’s the point in something being free if you can’t actually use it?

1. There's no such thing as free. You're paying for it one way or another. 2. The other guy is right. Quality most definitely goes down. 3.
