As a Dutchie, i can't really say much either, because the British Empire basically took over where we left, as we did with the Portuguese empire before that. What i can say is that the Netherlands is far less stuck up than stiff upper lip England, although.. Tramp politics has infested everywhere. Either way, there shouldn't really be a reason to break an alliance unless you have some alterior motives aside from discontent. Personally i think it's a powergrab, they were hoping for many more countries to leave the EU, so the UK could instead latch on the ones they like, establishing their own new empire, because i doubt that they really think that they're better off alone. The EU isn't servient and profitable enough for the UK. At least, that is my cynical opinion.

Of course the media tends to lean heavily left or right, it's been that way for a while. The difference is left leaning news speak directly to liberals who gravitate toward that product, and Fox speaks directly to the president. Obama never repeated talking points from Rachel Maddow or Jon Stewart verbatim after watching their show or getting phone calls from them. I never really knew her, the most times i've seen her was probably on this show. I had to actually turn the volume down a bit when she started talking, because she reached peak level indoor voice right away, like she had to talk over a crowd. And the way she spoke about booze and weed made me feel old, while she's got 9 years on me. But she can be funny and insightful, i mean, i'm glad she sided with Bill on the Joe Biden thing. But how she became a celebrity, i don't know, for me, she was just there one day.

Salman was right...and Danielle mentioning WWII, which was about 1/2 century after the very tail end of British colonial rule had wreaked havoc on India and sub-Saharan Africa is pathetic. In many ways, the UK is a smaller mirror of the US. Forever referencing a past that required a lot of blood and resources extracted from other people to build your empire, only to turn around and demonize those same people when the places you left in ruins left them searching for a new place to exist.

I hate Fox with a passion but I won’t forget how CNN (Clinton network news) did Bernie in 2016. CNN isn’t half as bad as Fox when it comes to Propaganda but still I hear subtle digs against Bernie coming from CNN sometimes. Therefore if I watch any of them I take it with a grain of salt. Danielle Pletka is partially right. CNN is based on opinion just like Fox. What Fox doesn’t cover, CNN will and vice versa. That’s why people who only watch one news source is very misinformed with strictly bias points of view. Observing both sides of the coin will not constrict seeing things from just one point of view. Where she went off the rails is when she claimed that she doesn’t watch the coverage. That was a truly moot point.
