Dewayne "Eddie" Coker was a detention deputy with the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office. On October 8, 2018, Coker was sustained on administrative charges of:
(1) Misdirected Action in an Official Investigation
(2) Misuse of Communications Facilities
(3) Improper Use of Official Position
(4) Conduct Unbecoming a Member of the Sheriff's Office
"Misuse of public position" is considered a moral character violation in the State of Florida. Consequently, Coker's policy violations were forwarded to Florida's Criminal Justice Standards & Training Commission, the body responsible for overseeing the certification and training of police and correctional officers in the state.
On January 30, 2020, the CJSTC met for officer discipline hearings, and voted to revoke Coker's certification, meaning that he cannot simply move to a different law enforcement agency.
In the course of investigating Coker's decertification, it became apparent that his wife's actions played a significant role in the events. And thus began my descent into the rabbit hole you are about to go down. It's quite the ride. Enjoy. This story has never been reported elsewhere.
Various unprofessional emails are referenced during Mr. Coker's interview with internal affairs. Check them out for yourself on the Real World Police subreddit @ rwp.yt/hcso.

@@ritawashere5787 Just to be clear, practicing physicians and psychiatrists have medical degrees. You can demand people to address you as Dr even if you have a PHD in philosophy, but doing it in a hospital is kinda phony (she is supposedly just a psychologist, although many psychologists are extremely successful. Dr Phil for example is a very successful psychologist and I'm not sure if he has a medical degree). I can't find the segment where this video made fun of her for demanding to be addressed as "Dr" because it's quite a long video (it's somewhere first half portion), but I'm pretty sure that this is what the video is poking fun of during that segment. In other words, she is a psychologist pretending to be a psychiatrist 😉

During this time, I had been going through a ton of stress and had randomly lost a ton of weight, and I had a weird thought and was going through my in-laws claiming I had eating disorders and such, which obviously the therapist knew about. I told my husband “what if she’s doing this to see if I have an eating disorder, wouldn’t that be weird?” So while we’re at dinner, I made a joke about It, and she said “well actually… that was a reason…” I couldn’t go back to her after that. And I obviously “proved” I eat, and I’m not running to the bathroom to purge after eating. I’m going through the process of attempting to find a good therapist now; as well.

My mom worked for a world renowned therapist and his advice in seeking professionals in the field was this ; During the first visit, any good therapist will listen, then state the issues at play and then outline a plan in which you two will go over, address and work through these issues. Without that happening the therapist is likely never going to actually help other than being a vent for you. Therapy sessions are mostly designed for the purpose of learning and obtaining tactics to be able do deal with stressors in our day to day lives, without that, again you are simply paying someone to talk and listen.

The professionalism and self control is what makes Sergeants like that HUGE assets to our communities. The lies.. That's scary he was posing as a cop. So this guy throws his career away, and drops $10k on a lawyer to beat a $200 residential stop sign ticket, and he’s referring to other people as Ftards? Wow! My favorite part was where he had two possible scenarios in regard to possible public perception of not splitting the toothpaste spitters face open. They both made him look admirable, borderline heroic.

The video speaks for itself. As a civilian I can see that. What can possibly be missing that could make this better? He lied being a police officer, she was belligerent throughout the traffic stop, using derogatory, disrespectful, aggressive comments, then calling the officer an f****** N, i would hope the medical board reviewed her actions, because I'll tell you now as a medical professional myself, i would've filed a complaint against her for how unprofessional she was acting outside of work. I can only imagine how she acts with her patients. And yes, they deserve each other.
