That is ABSOLUTELY TRUE. I call it SOLITUDE is very different from LONELINESS. In SOLITUDE we REFLECT, GET in TOUCH with our TRUE self, the Spirit beings we really are and WHOSE we are. GOD'S . And no Noise. 😊 The BIBLE says... In Silence and Hope shall your Strength be. AMĚN ❤

Right, people that talk about the same things that never go anywhere at all. Men talking about foot ball is major ignorance that has gone on for at leasy eighty years. Then talking about travel, when they cannot even pay their own way where they are at. Always talking about their plans but never doing it. Its waste of time and listening when there is always something to learn

@Don't Belong Here, From Another Planet Exactly. I feel this way all of the time. The more i'm around humans, the less i enjoy their presence. When i'm around nature, i'm much happier. Wildlife brings me peace and i feel in touch with God on a more intimate level. I've begun to learn to enjoy the quiet and not feel so lonely. As another post said, we are never really alone. The Lord is with me, so why would i feel lonely? I remind myself often when i start to feel alone in this world. It is preferable to being around others who don't have the capacity to have to think at a higher level of awareness. I'm not trying to sound like a snob, but there are not that many people who i see that have intellectual conversations in my neighborhood. 🤔😧🙏✝️

To be alone is just so comfortable, freedom to just belong to yourself and create, imagine, think. I get very stressed if I don’t get a lot of time alone. It’s necessary for my well-being. I understand that other people mostly like to socialise a lot and constantly seem to need people around them to be happy, we’re all different like this. As long as I can just get enough alone time, I can function properly.

Yes, one can think and organize everything one need when one is alone. But the question is, for how long can one hold to be alone? If one knows the nature of life, or in other words, if one is already self-realized, one can hold to be alone for years, or as long as one wishes it to be!

My father survived WW2. He came home….a changed man. I was born after that time(1953). . His past experiences caused him to interpret God and things differently. Even tho he claimed to be an atheist…..he agreed to send me to a religious College….because of the ‘life structure/personal discipline’…..that I would learn. He saw many horrors overseas in war. He was a self-taught man. I say all this to say….that I too eventually let go of organized religion gladly. I have since journeyed off and on through self-realization. God…as I perceive….has protected me while I had to learn/re-interpret many things in my life. I am my father’s daughter. I am 69 years old. Ahna 🕉️🕉️🕉️

1 of the reasons: When the equation does not appear to have a possible positive ending, it is better to subtract the negativity even if that means the results ends at O, at least it is a better number than a -1. Translation: When a group of people does not appear to bring you anything constructive or positive in your life, it's better to take them away from your life even if that means you end up with 0 friends, at least being alone it's better than a bad influence putting you in a bad position causing you losses.

A year ago I was challenged to try living without the daily drama of social media and constant communication with the world. I had already bought a place far away from my stomping grounds, so I relocated myself to solitude. Then, started shutting down one thing at a time. I found that I really could live without knowing what my friends were eating or doing (without me). A year later, I started slowly easing back into society, but with a little more peace! Instead of feeling like I should interject my thoughts openly, I keep them to myself and you know what? I still have my off the wall humor, but I don't offend anybody!! This has been a life changing event in a very positive way!! Thanks for sharing your wisdom!

I am glad when I am with people. I am also completely well when I am alone aswell. I have come to realise it's actually about how you utilise the time you get to have. Even when with people around or just by yourself. If you find value in what you are doing you will be happy but if you are mocking and doing things which feels out of morality you will be unhappy. You chose your mood. So stop letting other people decide the way of your life.

Unfortunately, the internal state of a highly intelligent person will never be known to a moderately intelligent or modestly awakened one. It is a fruitless frustration trying to share the interior life of a highly evolved soul with those who have no access to the depths of thoughts and feelings, or even of the blissful nothingness that a mystic perceives at every moment. That is the point of being a mystic! It makes us become more of our Selves, and helps us better identify with the Source paradise instead of the mundane; what it does not do is give us an abundance of playmates with whom we can share the riches of our journey, and after a while, even that does not rankle as much as it did when we were young and still trying to make it into the cool clique, or make a mark on the world like our classmates and siblings. It’s a process. The loneliness of our 40s gradually gives way to the soul’s expansion and spiritual enrichment of our 50s and 60s.

@@veritas2222 you are so right! Yes, people without spiritual experience cannot even see what they miss, while meeting a highly developped person. @@veritas2222 i agree. I'm 58 and am changing how i look at things in recent years. Women become much more settled in themselves as they age. I like myself more now than i ever did when i was young. The only hard part for me is not having a partner to be in my life. I know i don't need to be married, but i sure would love a man who shared my dreams and faith in God. Even a companion as a friend would be desirable. Sometimes it gets old doing everything alone. What helps is knowing that i'm ok and if God wants me to be in a lifelong relationship, then it will come my way. If not, i will be the best woman i can be to myself and others. Back during Highschool and college, I always danced by myself (majority of the time) whether it was in public or someplace secrete. I just tuned out the world with music and focused on myself, the way my body feels and moves when I try different things. My friend who was a breakdancer told me “Bro you just started right before summer break, then came back to school and all of a sudden you start doing THIS (as he mimicked some of the new things I learned within those few months)”.

As someone who is both an introvert and an only child, this truly speaks out to me. I've always been known to keep to myself most of the time as well as having everything to myself. It wasn't until the covid pandemic and being stuck in quarantine that I started to find solitude with being alone and it wasn't until very recently that I learned the difference between being alone and loneliness, which are two things that some people aren't able to differentiate. As far as working on a project though, I definitely prefer to work by myself because things get done more quickly and efficiently, I'm more organized in that way and I have more creative input.

I like my alone times, i have moments in the day when I engage with my thoughts. I look and wonder at a specific thought, process through as much as I have the allotable time to before I stop to do what I left off doing in my surrounding. I listen to what comes out of my mind (brain), then I get in touch with my the brain/ears of my heart and I balance the thought out. If we can listen to our thoughts and seek to change some, keep some, correct some, we will complain less. And be less vocal about complaining. But you will put stops in your tongue before it comes tumbling out from your brain ! So get in touch with how your heart is beating, physically, psychologically, environnentally, mentally, emotionally.

Yes we all need abit of human connection at times but the older I get it becomes less and less. It's mostly small talk with people and they put on a front, bragging or running others down. I find it all so tedious. I need time alone to ✍️ and to survive. The Belfast poet Andrew Beattie.

Being in crowd is a kind of education as well as being alone is also a kind of education there needs a balance as preferred both are a part of education as we sleep as per requirement our energy regained rejuvenate similarly our wisdom grows as wel as our energy in silence as per requirement in tranquility so staying alone for sometime is preferable thanku so much I am grateful to you

His comment on how only miserable people live a long time recalls this vignette: The philosophy professor received the following answer to the assigned question, "If the world was going to end in an hour, what would you do for that hour?" Answer: "I would spend it in this class, because an hour feels like an eternity here."

When fate sent me into loneliness, I started watching much more clearly what is happening around me and in my inner life. I started to regognize, that even a platy fish can be as true to his wife like a swan. This little fish, considered to be a peaceful fish living in small groups, has incredible emotional capacities. My platy fish stopped eating, when his wife died, he refused a new "partner" and obviously died of grief and sadness, there was nothing to be done ... How often does this happen to people? Perhaps the fish can feel deeper than most of other human beings. How can we be sure, when we still believe, that we are the "crown" of creation of this universe? Doesn`it make us arrogant and even more stupid - more destructive against nature? Maybe we are only the little "children" of the universe, naive and nearsighted, concentrated on us and our unimportant abilities which many of them are to destroy and pollute this planet ... while the plants, that are on earth since millions of years and dedicate themselves to life on earth in a selfless way, communicate through mushrooms and chemistry, in a silent language ... maybe they are our real docs, and the birds our "soul-keepers" ... nobody realizes, that birds and plants know our thoughts and react in an adequate - mostly in a healing way. They don`t ask, they just heal. One day I found out, that my favorite shrub in the garden is watching all my thoughts: in the middle of winter it sent at tremedous smell without having any flowers or leaves, because I thought about it and how beautiful it will become, when spring will come. When my father died, the same shrub gave me a treatment with its smell for half an hour which was very intense and the sadness was gone forever. I could let him go in peace. Who knows what it means, when hundreds of ravens perch on the treetops as the sun goes down and they suddenly fall into deep silence? What kind of sun meditation are they doing? What are their true skills as yogis? I guess, their repertoire of meditation is much bigger than the one of all cultures of humanity - and I wonder, if they are enlightened ... why not? I am not crazy, I am just watching and I am astonished to see, that there are so many meditating animals hanging up in the shadow or on the top of trees, like birds, that use the top of tress as antenna of the universe. Are they talking directly to God? All animals love meditation, they do it actually the whole day, while they are not hunting...- but only few humans like meditation and practise it and that is what makes me think that something is wrong with us: We cannot feel the real taste of being silent, as we are thrown out of paradise - the paradise of silence that is within every creature ... we live in a kind of hell full of noisy thoughts and empty words, a world full of manipulation, greed and anxiety - we do not see the beauty of this universe, that is why we kill all beautifull regions, where there is only nature: The human being is afraid of this silence within nature and that is a true sign of being a not very spiritual creature. Silence and loneliness are just the doors into the spiritual world and our culture calls lonely people psychopaths, that need a treatment or ane endangered to became crazy. THAT is really crazy!

I would agree with your comments 100%! It is unfortunate that humans are not that insightful of what wrongs they commit to others and the world. We get warnings every day that nature is trying to tell us. But, we don't pay attention. It's so sad we will figure out how to coexist with this planet too late. I don't have a good feeling about the fate of Earth. People are a destructive, selfish species and they seem unable to learn from their past mistakes. Praying for the Lord to return soon and take me out of the crazy world today. There is just too much evil going on. Wish i didn't feel this way, but my faith leads me to see the truth and it is not going to be a good ending for a big portion of humanity. The only way to eternity with the Lord is to accept His gift 🎁 and repent of your sins. Living of the world is to die in sin. God Bless You. 🙏🙇‍♀️💞✝️⛪️🇺🇸

When you are not getting any, you spend a lot of time alone wondering why. Then, wondering why about other things becomes a welcome distraction. In the process, you learn a lot about yourself, which is then a template for learning about anything else.
