YOU...are the legend. I've watched that Winger and Whitesnake LIVE dvd's a bazillion times...you did him solid.

Hell yeah. Reb Beach is one of my favorite guitar players, the solo from seventeen is one of the all time greats imo!

What's funny is, I started tapping in the late 80s because of something Alan Holdsworth said in a Guitar Player article. He said he worked hard to make his "tapped" notes as loud as his picked notes. It was 15 years later that I realized Holdsworth NEVER taps:) He used the wrong term. He meant to say, "Hammer-ons", instead of "Taps"... By then tapping was fully integrated into my style:) Now my right hand is just an extension of my left:) Crazy huh hahahahahaha. Good show man.

I think I have a copy of that somewhere. I love that out made you to develop your own way of doing things!

Another fantastic video! Love your 5 minute licks, possibly my favorite of your series of videos. Reb is a monster player, feel like he didn’t get the widespread recognition he deserved.

Yeah he's the full package. Great singer too.

"Today students, we're going to learn the tip tap flicky flak! "👀 Thanks for reminding me I need to listen to Reb again. 😅 He's a beast. People still cite Eddie as the master of tapping. I get it, the dude successfully drilled that nail into public consciousness and we loved it and him for doing it. But it's a more versatile technique than you'd think. Keep finding players who don't just tap the conventional 'Eddie way' and, somehow continue to expand something that you'd think would have a fairly limited reach. Just goes to show, your limits are only really whatever you make them! ✌😎

I gave up trying to tap like Reb a long time ago, but this makes me want to take another crack at it. Next, 5 min licks should be something inspired by Ron Thal.

Cool lick Leon. Reb is such an underappreciated player and a true legend. His "liquid tapping" as I refer to it and as you described it tapping through scales was so creative and out of the box. I haven't really seen any other players sound like him or execute his style with that kind of accuracy. Any stories of you playing an Ibanez Voyager in the past? I could see that in your arsenal.

Very nice. I'm a tapping noob, but I think I can do this slowly with some practice. Thank you for breaking it down so masterfully.
