I think because you like her songs most recent that you would like her older music as well. If you ever get the chance definitely look them up, you’d only become an even bigger fan! I’m glad you like her I was 9 when she started singing (1984) and I’m going to be 44 in October and she never has changed or gets old, she has only gotten better. If I were a boy Even just for a day I’d roll outta bed in the morning And throw on what I wanted and go Drink beer with the guys And chase after girls I’d kick it with who I wanted And I’d never get confronted for it. 'Cause they’d stick up for me. [Chorus] If I were a boy I think I could understand How it feels to love a girl I swear I’d be a better man. I’d listen to her 'Cause I know how it hurts When you lose the one you wanted 'Cause he’s taken you for granted And everything you had got destroyed [Verse] If I were a boy I would turn off my phone Tell everyone it’s broken So they’d think that I was sleepin’ alone I’d put myself first And make the rules as I go 'Cause I know that she’d be faithful Waitin’ for me to come home (to come home) [Chorus] If I were a boy I think I could understand How it feels to love a girl I swear I’d be a better man. I’d listen to her 'Cause I know how it hurts When you lose the one you wanted (wanted) 'Cause he’s taken you for granted (granted) And everything you had got destroyed [Bridge] It’s a little too late for you to come back Say it's just a mistake Think I’d forgive you like that If you thought I would wait for you You thought wrong [Chorus 2] But you’re just a boy You don’t understand Yeah, you don’t understand, oh How it feels to love a girl someday You wish you were a better man You don’t listen to her You don’t care how it hurts Until you lose the one you wanted 'Cause you’ve taken her for granted And everything you had got destroyed But you’re just a boy

Good job on Reba's part. Actually no - a stunning job. I don't think many people could manage to level up to a vocalist with the same level of skill and emotion that Beyoncé wielded for the original recording of this song, but this is the only cover I would listen to with the same amount of respect.

Actually, not being mean or anything, both Reba and Beyoncé covered this song. The original singer was a rock star
@ethana.86539 жыл бұрын
159iminlove Very fair, but I'd say that the most popular version is indeed Beyonce's. My mistake, nonetheless, thank you.

This gives me “im reminiscing about my old marriage i had and now im divorced but living a good life drinking wine while shopping at kroger” while Beyoncé version is me belting the song while im on my way to the beauty supply store for my new wig for a new hairstyle bc im mentally unstable and dont wanna commit to changing my natural hair

whenever I was a child growing up, I listened to Miss.Reba like all the time, I use to go round the house singing her songs, and then I would have logged into youtube, watched her music videos and tv appearances, on shows like David Letterman and Oprah Winfrey, she has a timeless voice and her fashion statement is beautiful xx xx

I used to do the same. Listening to all her classics today for the 1st time in 10+ years. It's amazing how our memory can bring back every word and pitch you thought you'd forget. Loooove her still!!

I love Reba! I like Beyoncé's version but hers is different. The tone in Reba's voice with this version fits almost exactly how I felt when my husband and I broke up 2 years ago. I was the one sitting at home being faithful waiting for him to decide when he wanted to make time for me. He was not a man, he stole from my mother while I was working. I still get angry when I think about all I went through for him. And he will never understand why they will never be an us again. He thought I should just forgive him and move on. Thank you Reba for expressing the lyrics so beautifully!

Lisa Hall Your story touched me because my mom and dad and myself and 3 siblings went through this 2 years ago also. Daddy decides to cheat and thinks Mom won't find out, little did he know I knew when we were on vacation. The sneaky texts, not letting me see his phone, changing to night shift at work, going to the gym a lot more, I just didn't want to believe it when I woke up one morning and my mom said he was gone. It's been a hard 2 years and I still don't think I've quite forgave him for it.

Lisa Hall Reba's is better than Beyonce's (and i dont even like country music) but the original is the best (by BC Jean)

Lisa Hall I don't know what it feels like, but I know that it hurts so much, and I know that you'll move on and make it with your family because it seems like you're a strong woman, I don't know you in fact it seems like we're thousands of miles away. and if it works for you, I'd like to let you know that there is someone that understands you.

Allie federspiel she’s absolutely as wholesome and kind and humble as most who’ve not met her would hope and assume ! We’ve taken care of her (when she’s come To the city I live )on many occasions and every time she’s been incredibly pleasant and sweet and has a wonderful Godly demeanor and beautiful heart that is so true and genuine. She really is a wonderful person ! None of us are perfect lol we’re all human , alike ., and I never am over The top praising over or obsessing over celebrities as some do lol , as honestly( outside of business , providing care etc )I never keep up with or follow anything in the trends or media & the obsessive and idolizing nature projected when it comes To the so-called elite and famous lol so honestly , I don’t mean any of that to be negative or rude or offensive in Any way .. but can say , she doesn’t go around with the kind of heart you’d see or expect among celebrities, by nature.. her personality & heart are so genuine and even though i don’t know her in such a way to say oh yeah , i know her know her lol I’d say she’s the type you’d look up to and admire just bc she’s her and would be someone anyone would be blessed to call friend !

I love the house in this video, and the dress is gorgeous. The green train symbolizing her attachment and waiting on the man she thought was to be her forever love-finally removing that train, that chain of grief from herself to walk out at the end. I must say there are good points and not-so-good on both versions of the songs, but each are equally satisfying in the messages they send through their emotions and voices.
@fredc83465 жыл бұрын
Nothing wrong with B's version, but Reba got the emotion and intensity of each separate part of the song just about perfect with her voice breaks perfect also.
@lyrissapaz266910 жыл бұрын
Holy cow, the train on that dress is major long! lol. Ladies, Reba is classically iconic w/ country music & her voice is uncomparable w/anyone else! Reba is amazing @ what she does & how she uses her voice . I love her & I'm a huge fan of hers.

It's funny at the end of the video when she loses the train of her dress like she was releasing the load that was dragging her down. Meaning the man that was treating her bad . She is such a great performer. I was not expecting her to sing this song. She just keeps getting better like there's room for better. How can one person have that much greatness?
