Lost my dad on Christmas eve 2010, he was in the US, me in Europe. I wanted to go to him as soon as I heard he had cancer. He didn't want me to see him broken from the cancer. I remember how my step.mother put the phone to dad's ear when he could no longer talk or swallow. I told him I loved him and I knew he was tired and it was OK to go Home, into the Lord's arms. I found out he passed a few hours later. This song has become a way to mourn my dad and let the tears still fall. Thank you Reba!

I just melted when I heard this song. I came across it a few days after I put my 15 year old Golden Retriever down. I do not have children and he has been my world. He held on for so long. Had an eye removed, bad back leg and bumps, but I said as long as he wagged his tail and ate, I would keep him with me. I laid with him for 3 days and had to put him down. Never have I felt so much pain. I have been taking care of my mom who had a stroke almost 3 years ago and Alex kept me going. I do not usually listen to Country but do love Reba and watch her show. I listen to this song all the time. I will see him again and know he is healthy and waiting. Thank You Reba!!!

Why this failed to chart is beyond me. I've loved this song ever since this video came out. What a shame radio ignored such an emotional, meaningful and powerful song, especially for Reba, after her dad passed away... a lot of people connect with that.
@susanmazzanti56434 жыл бұрын
The picture that it paints is hard for most people to understand. They think horses only live in small pastures and maybe spend all their nights in a barn. Them horses ran free as often as not and sometimes they just had to run free. That's hard on city folk and lots of residents of small towns. Reba has seen horses that had to run without a rider and is painting that picture.

Ripped right through my heart. Just breathtaking. Best video is years ❤️
sorry to hear your mum passed away Reba, l know you will always love and remember her, you have sang the most touching song about the most wonderful animals on this planet, it made me think of all the pain my daughter Heidi went thru losing her beloved horse Rummie, to the malpractice of a local vet, who should have known better and questioned his actions before he over dosed Rummie with too much sedative, that's all it took, to end up killing the only horse and friend she ever had, and l know has never got over his loss, it this song saves one horse it has done it job, thank you very much Reba, you are as much a hero as Willy Nelson and what he has done for the poor old horse, love you, Carol Belbin, Penguin Tasmania

I heard my mother scream my name. I jumped from the bed and ran to their room. I grabbed my father just in time to prevent him from falling out of bed. I laid him down, and felt the ICD hit him. I said, give me a breath, and told me mother to go call the hospice nurse. When the second jolt hit him, I knew it was at an end. I held his head in my left hand, and his arm with my right. When the third jolt hit us both, i jumped. I whispered in his ear, Its OK daddy, you've done enough. You can let go, we're going to be OK. Its been 10 years. We're not OK. But I listen to songs like this, and it allows me to release a lot of the anger. Reba, you hit a home run with this one. You found your Dance.

OMG, thank you, as my father who was so black-balled from us kids when they divorced that it took so long for me to see the two sides of the story........I just started working for a lawyer when I was out of college at the age of 18yrs. old, and that's when I learned about how he influenced me in my life, stubborn just like your father was the famous words I heard so many years? (Reba's next song???) Stubborn like dad? I'm still very stubborn like he was, and strong willed woman, but he died so young at the age of 56yrs, and my mom at the age of 47yrs., wow, and I was left raising 3 minor children all at once, but hey, went through that shit back in 1986 and 1989......and I'm still kicking ass out there? thank you Reba for your dedication song to your father, wish I could share it with my siblings, but I think there's about only 2 of us who feel his love......I know I was his favourite so my step-mom says, but shit, and dang, I still wish he was here to give me shit for my single life and weekend partying, etc...Miss you Dad.

Not just like any video. Reba is in the undiscovered country. What a beautiful tribute to life and love. The dimensions of which we must know in the end. In our acceptance of this sense of loss and bringing it into love; We further the progress of life. This is a brilliant moment for Reba. Just beautiful

I lost my sweet Daddy November 3rd, 2017. Sometimes, the grief comes, "How do you say goodbye"? I was 57...but I was a little girl again. West Nil, July 9th, 2012 took his ability to walk again, learning to do life on different terms. I'm thankful for the talks we had, during moments he needed help to learn things. We etch them in our hearts. When I heard this song, I thought....my Daddy is walking again, tending a beautiful garden and drinking coffee. Thank you Reba, for sharing your journey. Kelley

My moma passed away 10 years on 4-25-14. We buried her on Mother's Day weekend. They say it gets easier as the years pass. Not true at all. When i was holding her Urn a butterfly landed on it. I was like, are y'all seeing this? I walked over to my younger brother, handed him the urn, withe the butterfly still on it. Hesaid he couldn't put the urn in the ground with the butterfly still perched on it. My son nudged it and it stayed on his finger and he asked what he should do with it. I told him to put it on the flowers i had for her. My brother started to put the urn in the ground and he said " I love you moma". All of a sudden that butterfly took flight and fluttered in his face for probably 10 or more seconds and then flew away up high. The thing that is really amazing...... my mom struggled in life after her and my dad divorced. The wings on that butterfly were torn and tattered. I know with all my heart it was her saying goodbye and she was ok. About a month later i was sitting at my kitchen table about to leave and go run errands. A butterfly came fluttering up to the glass door and then landed on my swing, stayed for about a minute, and then flew off. I was driving down the street. The light turned red, i stopped and then looked up and noticed the street sign to the right. It said LOLA Street. That was ( is) my mom's name. I smiled and tears in my eyes i said " I hear ya moma". I miss her so much. I drove over a hundred miles on this last Mother's Day to visit her grave. I looked up from her headstone and noticed a butterfly right near. Hmmm❤😢
