Lost my dad on Christmas eve 2010, he was in the US, me in Europe. I wanted to go to him as soon as I heard he had cancer. He didn't want me to see him broken from the cancer. I remember how my step.mother put the phone to dad's ear when he could no longer talk or swallow. I told him I loved him and I knew he was tired and it was OK to go Home, into the Lord's arms. I found out he passed a few hours later. This song has become a way to mourn my dad and let the tears still fall. Thank you Reba!

I just melted when I heard this song. I came across it a few days after I put my 15 year old Golden Retriever down. I do not have children and he has been my world. He held on for so long. Had an eye removed, bad back leg and bumps, but I said as long as he wagged his tail and ate, I would keep him with me. I laid with him for 3 days and had to put him down. Never have I felt so much pain. I have been taking care of my mom who had a stroke almost 3 years ago and Alex kept me going. I do not usually listen to Country but do love Reba and watch her show. I listen to this song all the time. I will see him again and know he is healthy and waiting. Thank You Reba!!!

Why this failed to chart is beyond me. I've loved this song ever since this video came out. What a shame radio ignored such an emotional, meaningful and powerful song, especially for Reba, after her dad passed away... a lot of people connect with that.

The picture that it paints is hard for most people to understand. They think horses only live in small pastures and maybe spend all their nights in a barn. Them horses ran free as often as not and sometimes they just had to run free. That's hard on city folk and lots of residents of small towns. Reba has seen horses that had to run without a rider and is painting that picture.

I heard my mother scream my name. I jumped from the bed and ran to their room. I grabbed my father just in time to prevent him from falling out of bed. I laid him down, and felt the ICD hit him. I said, give me a breath, and told me mother to go call the hospice nurse. When the second jolt hit him, I knew it was at an end. I held his head in my left hand, and his arm with my right. When the third jolt hit us both, i jumped. I whispered in his ear, Its OK daddy, you've done enough. You can let go, we're going to be OK. Its been 10 years. We're not OK. But I listen to songs like this, and it allows me to release a lot of the anger. Reba, you hit a home run with this one. You found your Dance.

I lost my sweet Daddy November 3rd, 2017. Sometimes, the grief comes, "How do you say goodbye"? I was 57...but I was a little girl again. West Nil, July 9th, 2012 took his ability to walk again, learning to do life on different terms. I'm thankful for the talks we had, during moments he needed help to learn things. We etch them in our hearts. When I heard this song, I thought....my Daddy is walking again, tending a beautiful garden and drinking coffee. Thank you Reba, for sharing your journey. Kelley

This is so emotionally heavy. I can tell my dad might not live much longer, he's in his 70s and he's still a heavy smoker, I wish I got along better with him but I don't and I am tired of trying to reach out to him. This is a beautiful song!

Thank you Ms. Reba for making this song! After losing my Dad 3 yrs ago to a 5 yr cancer battle, this song helped me with the grieving process! My husband has been in a coma for the past two years due to a fall in a hospital. It's been a long up hill battle, but Our God is a Miraculous Heale I thank you for sharing this video, and as a daughter to another daughter who lost her father...there's no greater love we've experienced.

Reba I have been your number 1 fan since 2017. In June of 2017 I lost my Great Grandma. Unfortunately I discovered this song after her funeral. Her and my Great Grandpa actually had horses on a 120 acre farm and this song helped me so much. If you can Reba I would love to get in touch with you just to tell you how much you mean to the fans of country music. You and George Strait are the King and Queen of Country Music. Reba you are a true legend and a gift from God. Thank you for all of your songs!

╬ Thank You Reba for a incredible song ... June 4, 2018 would have been my mother's 88th birthday ... she left us in May 1997 ... laid in comma for 11 days from a fatal heart attack ... we then had to say good-bye for a while ... I Believe that we all end up in one place or another ... she's in heaven looking down on us waiting for the day when I will join her ... forever ╬

I'm so grateful for being so close to my Dad in my young adulthood, and him believing in me made me who I am today, many years after his passing, but I so remember how he said how he loved me, but also needed me to be there for his new wife and son, as he knew he wouldn't be here much longer. Sure enough he passed away when young brother Wayne was only 4 yrs. old, but I was there then and to this day still. Young brother Wayne is so much like him it's scary sometimes, and he's as stubborn as me and Dad were. Very strong beautiful character in that young boy, now a man,, and don't worry Dad, no matter what we are there for our Mamma Louise too! I hope you can see us from wherever you are and proud of all of us! I miss you every day Dad!

I just dont ever get tired of watching this video. My dad committed suicide 15 years ago and I still have a hard time telling him good bye. No matter how long it is since they were here, it just never seems to get easier. But this song has helped he realize that I can let him go. Thank you Reba. Your music has been a part of my life since I can remember and always will be. You have been a huge influence in my life and your music has helped me through some of the toughest times. I always remember being little and wanting to be just like Reba because I wanted to be a singer when I grew up. Keep writing and keep being a great person.

I had the privilege of being present when a mentor of mine, a wonderful man of God who had grown from the depths of addiction passed into heaven. I hadn't had a lot of fathering and one day I begged God for a man to teach me how to be a Christian husband and father, because I was a failure at that stuff. This man was one the men God put in my life to teach me. My dear mentor Willard died in peace, unafraid, knowing to where he was going. Looking at him lying on this death bed he reminded my of the Apostle Paul. That was some 20 years ago, but I remember him as I live out my ministry to addicts. The most important thing in recovery is to first learn to have an intimate relationship with God and with yourself.
