Should have come across you two years ago. Been through hell with this alcoholic narc. Now he is the history, the abuse took a toll on me. I replanted an argument in court and he didn’t even counter argue with me once. He looked defeated and deflated although still attempted to intimidate and manipulate me and the situation, but he was on the limitations since the judge allowed me to speak freely. I didn’t and don’t care what he said about me since he was doing the same with me about his ex wife who told me to run and stay away from him. She was right all along. I stayed so that I could help him but my kindness met his torment. He no longer deserve any of my care. I thank GOD that he is out of my life.

Many thanks Rebecca for your intuitive insights and guidance as to how to deal with a narcissist person but your best advice was to get away from them altogether... this has led me to a more peaceful life. I had no idea of the word narcissist until I started watching these videos and then one day, Bamm, there it was. It was then I realized that I was dealing with a textbook narcissist and all the Drama that went with it... I miss the person I thought who could be a friend, but I don't miss all the bullshit that evolved around this person...

I would have been better off not fighting, I have spent over 70K with Attorney fees, court fees, I could have used that for a down on a house. Although there is healing in fighting and exposing him in court, healing for my kids, myself and even his previous ex wife, so I guess it's been worth every penny in that regard, but dang, it better be over. I hope he's not the type to keep filing motions, praying he ghost us and find someone else, hope he hooks up with another narcissist, because I wouldn't wish this on anyone else. God's vengeance is upon him BAD!!!

I was in a 5 year relationship with an extremely toxic covert narcissist woman and it was the worst thing I've ever experienced. I was fortunate though. I realized what she was and although I wasn't able to leave right away, I was able to watch videos like these and study narcissism and the recovery techniques. When I eventually escaped, I was trauma bonded for a while but I forced myself to focus on only me. I healed, but the memory of the abuse remains. Your videos are spot on and very helpful. My advice to anyone who is reading this....form a plan of escape, get out, go no contact, deal with the trauma bond by learning your worth, loving yourself and never look back. Don't worry about revenge....the narc takes care of their own destruction. Focus only on living the happy life you deserve

I just got away from my narc. We were together 4 years. I found out I may have cancer in December. He became a co-owner of a company in January and he started changing and started degrading me and calling me a burden and worthless and every name in the book. I recorded everything I could the last 3 months before I left. He was making me feel crazy. He had been gaslighting me for months. He has been smearing me. I just want to unleash all the recordings I have to his family and friends. Just to get my side out. My state is a one party consent law state. I have a fear if I did release the recordings he would do something legally. I just don't know why he turned into a monster and why he waited 4 years to do it.

My 82-year-old parent is doing weird stuff to 'one up' me these days cos she's starting to realise that she is finally losing the battle with me. She gets irritated n is losing sleep over the fact that she knows I am finally done with her n will NEVER EVER see her the same way again since getting educated in narcissism n had my eyes open to what narcissism truly is, last year like hundreds of thousands of people around the world thanks to You Tube. It feels good inside to know you have it within u to defeat the narcissist in ur life regardless of who they r - just keep learning all u can n apply the tools taught in dealing with them n ways of protecting yourself. To the narc parent I say: "What a wretched, miserable person u are to be still behaving like this at ur age. I feel no compassion for u, only repulsion." An aged narc is one of the ugliest persons to have around.

I cut my Parents completely out of my life because of their insane narcissism. They in turn have told my Son that if he has anything to do with me they he will not get the inheritance which is very substantial. I occasionally have contact but have to keep it to a minimum until they die. My Son is already well off but the sentimental value of the property that once belonged to my Grandparents is worth waiting and my Son understands. Since then I have put together a Band of non- narcissistic guys and we are writing music so fast it is amazing. We will be recording soon and doing a few mini tours next Summer. My parents disinherited ME (single daughter) instead and now I'm going to court next week against my mother to get the minimum due share (in Germany this is law) which she denies to pay in full for about 2,5 years now. I do expect she loses because of false historical FACTS and family history. Her arguments do not hold any water according to German inheritance law. She seemed to have won over my only son (23) though, who now lives with and feeds off her. His life must be miserable as he's seeing a therapist (no wonder). Yet he doesn't turn to hear my story so she turned him into a flying monkey, promising HIM to inherit ALL instead later. That's another valid strategy. 😆👍 I've gone No Contact with her many years ago already.

Know Your Truth! I love being good at what I do, I am honest about my weaknesses, and I am outspoken at appreciating and deferring to others expertise. In fact, I LOVE learning and WANT other people to be great at what they do, so that we can non-competitively talk shop. Until I got a narcissist manager, I had never experienced a long-term, consistent effort to dismiss, interfere, sabotage, control, and triangulate every effort I would take to do my job well. And they do it with such entitlement and denial. The near-drowing analogy is a good one. It is like they can't even hear you as you are trying to meet them half-way, and they are just climbing frantically all over you... and then you hold still, and they calm down, and even compliment you on being a good raft, lol, but if you speak they think you've become a shark.🦈

I’ve lived this life, I seem to attract narcissists, as if I have a flashing sign on my forehead! Why? I think I am probably insecure, lack self confidence perhaps. The experiences I’ve had, the persons were real charming and nice at first, then like a having captured an animal, become controlling and abusive. When you feel the most vulnerable, your resources gone, you are trapped! It takes a lot of strength to walk away from that situation, especially penniless and homeless and with kids. You’re alive and you can start over. I was married twice, and had one relationship. Each time I lost whatever money or assets I had, but pulled myself up. Eventually I was able to move on, establish a loving home for my children and myself. I can’t say there are no scars. But we are alive. Definitely know your truth! I have a very small group of close friends and a narcissist half brother. My "brother" is one of those "I am so smart" narcissists and we are polar opposites. I am an empath. Caring, ethical person with values. He is a soulless dyed in the wool self important narcissist. He is currently trying to sue ME for an astronomical amount of money as a punishment for helping our mother file court cases against him and blaming me for creating a "non-repairable" divide between he and she. If he hadn't manipulated a 90 year old woman into stealing her car, I don't think he would have that divide. He is so delusional to think he has a case against me and is floundering because he knows once this is over, his last two direct family members (our mother and myself and not including his ex and two children who hate him also) will never have anything to do with him. And it galls him to no end that he can bad mouth me to whoever he wants and I don't care. I don't value his nor his flying monkeys say. It has zero affect. What bothers me most is I used to look up to him and realized in my thirties (now mid fifties) I once was his primary flying monkey. I defended him in more ways than one and then started to wake up and retaliated when I saw the outright lies and truth twisting. It came to a head when he started verbally/mentally abusing and manipulating our mother who is sharp as a tack, but not knowledgeable about how things have changed in the past 25 years. He accused, I defended and retaliated and here we are...dealing with a temperamental 65 year old child with delusion of grandeur and self importance. Anyone that really knows him wouldn't donate the dirt from their shoes to help bury him.

My adult daughter and son have finally cut ties with my narcissistic ex-wife. I was married to her for about 17 years starting in 1970 when she was 18 years old. Did not date long enough to see her narcissistic traits. In her defense she was molested by her step-dad when she was 5+ years old. Her mom was probably a narcissist too, but I was to young to grasp. I did all the things you talk about in other video so both my children saw a pretty bad side of me but have mended a lot of fences over the years. I've really tried to encourage them to get professional help to to deal with the fall out that they will get since my son finally cut the ties last month. I ended up get married to another narcissist and went through some of the same things after the love bombing stopped. Fortunately, I finally got enough professional help to not react as I did in my 20's and 30's.so as not to leave the marriage and raise my two adopted sons (wife's grandsons). We live together separately with very little conflict and of course are not intimate and have not been for the last 10 years. There are plenty of expert on KZbin, but I like your delivery and style, so thank you. Darryl

How does someone walk away from a narcissist when they're slandering you to the whole town and they've got their hooks in the police department so nothing gets done about the vandalism and harassment when it's reported?

I've been dealing with my ex-bestfriend, I used to be his security blanket and coddler, basically. I've known him since he was a freshman in high school. He's been trying to instigate a fight by way of sending his brainwashed lackies to cut my break lines, putting nails in my tires, basically breaking stuff so I don't have the money to move away because I'm too busy trying to maintain my transportation so I can get my special needs child to his appointments. He's doing this targeting my husband because hubby was successful in deprogramming me of my ex-bff's influence over me. I was so fucking blind to what he did to me (brainwashing, gaslighting, driving partners away) for the last 20 years. I'm done with him, I just want to move on with my life but he won't let me. 😭

Move to another state or country. You've got too many fires to fight. It'll waste your life away.
@missfoxglove89893 жыл бұрын
@@dawnday5105 I can't move states, my son will be placed in a residential placement facility in my state, just 3 hours away from my current location. I plan on moving to a town closer (about an hour) to him so I'll be able to see my son regularly. I want to nail that asshole to the wall for putting me and my family in danger. I know sooooo much about him that it would utterly ruin him, if someone would just listen to me. 😔

Just move to another town and tell your story before they do. Then you'd have the town on your side
